As always the food and service are outstanding. Seems this period of COVID is not lessening that. Sitting outside was a delightful experience last night!
We love Viaggio!!
Delicious food & amazing service. Can’t wait to go back!
Awesome experience! Reminded me of being back in Italy. Absolutely loved how it was smaller restaurant and the entire ambiance with the Frank Sinatra music was perfect. The food was spectacular as well. Will definitely be back!
It was a lovely early dinner outside on a sunny afternoon. So nice to be out in the world again! Tables were well spaced, and the servers were appropriately attired in black gloves and masks. We had the eggplant topped with arugula appetizer and the salad caprese, both nicely portioned and excellent. The wines, an arneis and a siena, were lovely. Entrees brought a terrific short rib ravioli and a rich risotto with shrimp.
This restaurant is truly a neighborhood gem. I am so happy we can return to dining in our local favorite. The food is great, the portions are generous, and the staff is outstanding!
The food at Viaggio is always amazing! It is my go-to place whenever I want an excellent Italian meal.
If you love Authentic Italian...this is the place to go
We had such a great experience! Food and drinks were delicious and Nenad took such great care of us. We will definitely be back!
This is our 2and time visit and we brought friends with us. Had a great time. A little disappointed made reservations indicating celebrating a 2 birthdays. It was overlooked. Our waiter was great Nanino aka Joe was awesome. Only feedback is seating is extremely tight. I could hear conversations next to me and noise level is pretty high. Overall enjoyed the food and service will be back.
We absolutely love viaggio! Best Italian American restaurant in the city!
Perfect before Hawks but loud, still going back.
Always a great meal. They have classic Italian dishes, and ones that are creative interpretations. For example, they have a burrata with pesto bruschetta. Just a bit different than regular mozzarella bruschetta. Their vodka sauce and sun dried tomato sauce also have just the right blend of sweetness.
My new favorite Italian restaurant!
Great food and service.
A true Chicago Italian restaurant experience. It’s not just about the food, but also the people here. I feel like I’m visiting family every time I step in. I wish I lived closer because I’d be here at least once a week..
Everyone was perfect. I can’t wait to go back. Loved it
Nice family place.
My only complaint was we felt a little rushed. I think they have a iPad ordering system and the kitchen knocked out the salads before we even got our wine.
My advice is to slow down the orders.
Otherwise everything was great
We ended up sitting at the bar. Bartender was super nice and gave great suggestions! Food was amazing! Can’t wait to go back!
Food in one word: Excellent. I recommend the veal Parmesan, Brussels sprouts, and pasta fagioli soup. Also, excellent service.
Great Service. Food was delicious. Server was very attentive. Didn’t catch his name. He’s usually there when I visit. Took some rather picky eaters with and they loved it.
Six friends and I went to Viaggio to celebrate my birthday. Julie was our waitress and she was amazing, friendly and responsive. The food was excellent as well. I’d definitely return!
Service was amazing from our drink before dinner to getting the bill. Everyone was extremely FRIENDLY, service was OUTSTANDING , and the food was AMAZING!!
Ambience was great. Food was fantastic. Coffee was very bad, almost ruined the experience.
Great atmosphere, waitress was friendly and really felt welcomed there by entire staff. Food was excellent.
Enjoyed the food and company.
Same great, accommodating service as the now sadly closed Viaggio on the Park. Glad to see it's a company-wide ethic.
It was just ok. I felt pretty cramped in there. Food was just ok. Not bad. Doubt if i go back.
Food was great
Excellent food and drinks! 10/10 would go back!
I love this place for all the wrong reasons. It is *the* place to go for all United Center events, especially Bulls or Hawks games. I don't exactly know why since it is a good half hour walk which on a beautiful summer day is not a big problem but the Hawks and Bulls play in the winter and this walk is less than ideal. But maybe it is all the jerseys on the walls and definitely it is all the jerseys on the patrons. Honestly, if you go there in street clothes you may get confused with the wait staff (who come to think of it were in jerseys as well). The place is crazy loud and the food is very good if not great (though the brick chicken is outstanding, my friend said the pasta was ok) but by game time -- 7:00 or so most nights -- the place empties out. As the owner told me one time, his is the only restaurant in Chicago where you can't get a seat before 7:00 but can walk in without a reservation after. And speaking of which, after 7:00 it is a pleasure.
Everything was great. Just before the Blackhawk game!
Such a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with great food, people and energy. New favorite spot!
My favorite place in the city. Never let's me down. Took a friend here for a "just because" dinner. Had an awesome time and a great meal.
Viaggio has been a long time favorite of our family. Any chance we get when we are in the city we go! Excellent food. We have never had a bad meal and they always have great specials. They treat you like family. The portions are large so unfortunately when heading out for the night after dinner, you don't get take the leftovers. (which we always have!)
