This is one of my favorite spots for Italian in San Jose. Food and service are consistently good.
I come to San Jose a couple of times a year for business and this is my #1 choice. I love the food and atmosphere and service. I highly recommend. You might have trouble picking your pasta choice though - they are all delicious!!
This is an okay place. Middle of the road.
Food is excellent as always! Waiters were pretty attentive. We were the first to be
seated and it was quiet, but as it filled up it was quite noisy. It would be great if they
could somehow reduce the noise level. Overall, we love the place!!!
Whenever we come to visit our son at law school, we eat here. It is our favorite Italian restaurant!
Very pretty restaurant. The seafood salad was wonderful. I did not like the mozzarella on the Caprese. It was very hard. I loved the Markham Sauvignon Blanc Servers were very nice.
Great menu items, not so big that they can't do it all. Great value and the food is tasty and fresh.
Friend I rarely see who I visit when traveling
Vito's is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a leisurely romantic dinner or just to grab a drink with a friend. I did both in the same week. Trust the servers to tell you what the specials are -- they know what patrons have enjoyed and they are so right! I recently had crab-stuffed salmon with a saffron risotto and asparagus. Hard to miss with that rich combo, but I cannot tell you how many places don't get asparagus right. This was perfect! Crisp and tender, not floppy or stringy. I also have to rave about the banana royale dessert -- even if you are hesitant, try it. My chocolate-loving partner shared it with me and was overjoyed (it does have alcohol in it). Having eaten at Vito's as well as enjoying their catering at parties, I can honestly say that you are famiglia here! Fantastico!
We needed a place to eat that was close to the San Jose airport. Saw that this restaurant had good reviews, plus it was just across the street from the airport. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese and my friend ordered the spaghetti carbonara. Both dishes were authentically delicious. We were impressed with the quality of our food. I live in San Mateo, but next time I'm in San Jose, I would eat there again. Definitely recommend this restaurant for great food and proximity to the airport.
The entire experience was great. It really is a hidden gem.
Waiter was a bit rude. Been here many times and this waiter seemed new and rude.
We were in town for non-business (this seems to be a place for nearby business visitors). Very friendly and accommodating staff - especially the support team. Server was a bit junior in terms of attentiveness and monitoring the table but overall was good.
Food was very good. My wife had a sea bass that was very flavorful and was paired with a great risotto and veggies. My chicken piccata was flavorful but too creamy for me - preference is more butter/wine vs. cream (flavor got buried in the cream). We shared crab cakes and a caesar salad. Crab cakes tasted a bit too bready - they were good-sized but a lot of the volume was filler. Caesar was okay.
Nice choices for wine with dinner and a full bar - hard to argue about that.
We'd come back again - the overall vibe was good, service was good and food was good.
Great - as always. The ambience is excellent, the food selection (Including specials) is outstanding, and the desserts are very tasteful.
Great food and service. My favorite place. We dine here often and love to do so.
Superb - as always. Great atmosphere, service and wonderful food selection.
We had read great things but it didn't match what we had heard. Instead, the food just wasn't very good. The service was fine and the conditions of the restaurant were nice... but the food was a major disappointment.
We love meeting friends at Vito’s. Always a good meal, and great service.
A must do ...not to be missed .
Wide ranging menu, great service, easy access and parking made Vito’s a great choice for a gathering of friends to welcome an old friend back for a visit in San Jose. We had different pasta dishes, all of which we enjoyed. Definitely a place we’ll visit again.
Our first time at Vito's. We were looking for a restaurant close to the airport and just by chance saw it listed on the internet. So we tried it. What a surprise and what a "find". Very good food with large portions. Also VERY impressed with the service. The waiter and all the support people were really nice and worked hard to please us. Probably the best service we've experienced at a restaurant in years! Hope to come visit again when were headed to San Jose.
I love this place. It is one of my go-to to meet clients, have dinner before a game, or simply just go for a great meal.
Smelled great upon arrival. Great selection. Delicious!
George the owner is hands on and on site all the time. He greeted us and was very friendly. George gave us a great table by the window that was far enough away from other tables, that we could hear each other when conversing. The Veal Parm was excellent along with their freshly made minestrone. We enjoyed their calamari appetizer that was cooked perfectly. The Chicken Salad was very fresh, delicious, and filling. The Gnocchi was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so delicious that it made you want more. Our Server was very attentive, and we never wanted for more ice tea, coffee, or water. Overall, it was a great meal.
Great little authentic Italian restaurant in very close proximity to the San Jose Airport. Suggest a reservation as the place really fills up. Wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a very nice and reasonably priced wine selection.
Everyone in our large party *loved* the food and appreciated the great service! Thank you!
Always delicious and fast service
Restaurant was too noisy.
My go to Italian.
Good value. Prompt service. Great tastes. Vodka sauce is always a favorite. Fresh fish was cooked just right.
Excellent as always. Our "go-to" place for Italian in San Jose.
Great food. Great value
We visited Vito's on a Saturday night before flying out on Sunday. We are from Houston and the Astros game was on in the bar. All of the staff and some of the customers tolerated our enthusiasm! We had a delicious meal and a nice wine. And...the Astros won!
The food was delicious and hot. The service was fantastic! I highly recommend Vito’s!
This is the 5th time that I have eaten here and, as with all of the other times, the food and staff were exceptional. This time I was in a business meeting and the staff was very conscious of this fact and handled it perfectly. A true gem here in the bay area and I can't wait to get back there again!
Still looking what's Italian on this cuisine? Please also stop over excessive sauce sinking all Pasta in the plate! This is not good. Just some sauce at the middle, well presented that's enough.
A fabulous find near the SJC airport! Moderate priced Italian comfort food with terrific service. I have Celiacs and Vito’s offers good selection of gluten-free dishes and knowledgeable waiters and chef. I had to pick up a friend at the airport during peak traffic time and Vito’s gave us a lovely place to dine and wait for traffic to thin.
