A nice place to take a first date. The décor was unique and a bit funky - fits right in on H street. The service and food were both good (Mexican). The drinks were strong. They have some games to entertain, including skee ball and a nice 9 hole miniature golf course. Also has a nice roof top bar. Weitere

Hours Different: Went to Addis Ethiopian for pre-Mother's day lunch on a Fri '2018. Called ahead (thank God) a pleasant man advised "hours open 4pm for just now", not 11am as Online said. Made a 4pm reservation because wasn't sure the lunch crowd Fri. Got there early; can't miss the bright yellow Addis sign. Happy hour sign posted on sidewalk too. Full bar. Flat screens (weren't on) and ambiace/decor nice. Metered on-street parking $2.50/hour but lucked up got a spot 1 door down. No crowd. Just us, a party of 8 and 1 couple + Grub Hub in & out. Casul Attire Fine: come as you are, summer wear, jeans/tennis, tees or from a meeting. Comfortable either way. Great Customer Service: Man greeted us held door open, and was very pleasant! Told him it was our 1st time. Our waitress friendly accommodating & they both checked on us, asking how we enjoyed our food. Prices Reasonable: We both got the Addis VEGETARIAN Option #1 with MILD Lentil. It was 6 big scoops: (Potato/carrot, Collard greens, Yellow sweet peas and 2 others. One sauce was definitely spicy! Served on Injera "sponge-bread" and shared 1 Veg Sambussa (fried pastry pie- had peas in it) but waitress did warn it was a little bit spicy so we appreciated that. We ate with our fingers "Ethiopian tradition" but gladly gave us fork/knife when asked. Tried the 'honey wine', good. Tasted like wine with Honey-Jim Bean Whiskey in it! It was different, not bad. All for $51. I do recommend if you're adventurous eaters who enjoy trying new cultural foods, like us. Staffed low, but we had no problems & overall had a great day with no complaints. We're going back! Weitere
