West Park Bistro
Food was not memorable, beet salads were mainly greens, not beets. Linguine with sausage and seafood was somewhat bland. It was New Years night so that could be the issue, but I wouldn’t bother coming back.
Murat and his staff provided excellent service. The food was extremely good. Thank you for a great evening
would actually give an "unsure" vs either yes or no. Service was friendly but they were constantly clearing our table while we ate, including taking away the limes I had ordered with drink, and clearing 3 of the 4 of us entirely while the 4th was still eating. Salads, bread and scallops were good - sea bass was ok and the accoutrements were not a good flavor with the fish, including a wet puddle of mushroom juice that didn't taste good. I thought menu had said broccolini but got broccoli - was fine but uninspiring
Nice, fairly quiet place for two foodies to get to know each other on a second date. Food was excellent and perfectly cooked. We had scallops and filet mignon (medium). Everything was plated beautifully. Looking forward to going back a second time.
In the heart of Restaurant Row, San Carlos, West Park Bistro continues to impress with their extremely fresh food, great service and swanky (yet cozy) atmosphere. I love the bar, wall fireplace and beautiful, private “wine room.” Prices are reasonable for the quality of food you receive. Our out of town friends were so impressed.
For lunch, don’t miss the beet salad or crab cake as appetizers, and chicken or lamb sandwich for entree. For dinner, the filet mignon or skirt steak are cooked perfectly and mouth watering. You cannot go wrong with Stella on tap and their unique bread pudding, which tops off the meal (Try not to lick the plate.)
Ample parking in the back or side streets.
Murat and Onur are still doing it right! Thank you!
My daughter& I had a Christmas dinner at West Park Bistro. It was quite busy in the main dining room and I asked for a Table in another area which turned out to be the best ,,definitely less noise.. The service was very good we had two wait persons and the food was excellent I had roasted beet salad and my daughter had the Caesar salad
The petite filet mignon was excellent however my salmon dish although good was a little bit undercooked. The toffee pudding for dessert was super!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The perfect place for a celebratory event or just because. The dining room is lovely. Fresh and delicious food. The cheesecake was amazing.
Impeccable and charming service. A return dining experience for sure.
The quiet rating of two stars was at the start of the lunch hour. I suspect the noise level goes up when the dining room is a little more lively. Not reason not to give West Park Bistro a try.
Always great food and friendly service.
Good food and a nice calm setting.....only drawback was key lime pie over powered by raspberry sauce...
Always good food and service. Location is great too.
My family (group of 7) ate lunch at West Park Bistro to celebrate a birthday. Everyone was impressed by the wonderful service, ambiance, and food. We will be eating there again!
The food was OK, but not super inspiring. Meat done to order correctly. Starters were very big -- could easily be split. Wine by the glass was served warmer than room temperature.
Service missed details of orders, mixed sides versus meat orders, and was generally spotty. We went there a Tuesday, and they opened recently, so presumably they are still tuning it, but they charge full high end prices.
Seems like a reasonable place for dinner, but doesn't quite add up to the whole.
Might be worth giving a second chance in six months to see if they've worked out the bugs.
It’s always a pleasure to dine at West Park! This time friends joined us and it was great to be able to easily talk and share such a comfortable space, while having delicious food all around.
Very impressed with the quality of food, ambiance, service and overall experience. We ordered
the Beet Salad and King Salmon entree. Food was fresh, delicious and beautiful presentation. My husband and I really enjoyed the Lemon cucumber mint mocktail as well.
Best wine list on the entire Peninsula next to Selbys. The wine room is beautiful the meatballs are destination drive worthy.
Food was very good, and service was attentive, bur from order to appetizers and then from appetizers to entree was a bit slow.
Everything was great - ambiance, food, decent wine selection. Only 1 con - We were going through our bread basket and the waiter just grabbed our plates. Although mine was empty, I was not done with bread. After a couple of minutes our dinner arrived. He could have at least explained that our entrees were on their way so we understood but he just picked up our bread plates and left with them. Other than that, everything was as I expected as per their website.
Great restaurant, superb food and fabulous service!
Food is fine; ambience is fine. Everything is nice, but it doesn't WOW.
When everything else fail, there is West Park Bistro.
Most stable menu/food quality and service on Laurel Ave.
Doesn’t matter when you come by.
Food is fresh, Wait staff nice and accommodating.
Our local Go-To place
The restaurant is very large with a nice mix of outdoor and indoor dining. The food was quality and there was enough variety for anyone's preferences, including a Vegan entrée.
Arriving late from Texas we booked a table at 10pm
When we arrived at the restaurant they said they closed the kitchen at 9pm and refused us
Excellent food and service. I love going to West Park Bistro.
We’ve been several times. This was even better than before. Food was excellent!!!
The sandwich bread was terrific.
Excellent service, good flavors, very good wine list. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Great food and excellent service.
The pay attention to detail and make every guest feel special.
We'll be back.
Goof fish tonight!
Great service wonderful brunch !
Really nice waiter. Obviously cared about our satisfaction. The food was excellent and the experience was just right.
I love this place. They have a number of exceptional dishes that keeps me coming back.
Great Lunch with friends. We were fortunate enjoy great service and food. Very good wines as well. We had the restaurant to ourselves which means it is a hidden gem.
I don't often write reviews but was so disappointed by this place. Of all the restaurants on Laurel St this is the most disappointing and yet the most expensive (over priced in my opinion) . The interior design is beautiful but that's it. The skirt steak does not compare to others. It was very tough and not flavorful. The string beans served with it were not just al dente- they were raw. Others in our party had the lamb special which was merely "okay". We ordered 2 desserts and let our server know we were sharing . He brought 4 spoons but we had to ask for small plates. The most appealing of all was a member of our party told the server she has an allergy to garlic. He seemed irritated that she asked him to check with the chef for which dishes didn't have garlic. He rolled his eyes as he walked away to check. Quite rude ! Compared to other friendly Laurel Street restaurants- this place is a poor comparison. We won't be going back.
Great food, good service
Ordered, appetizers, a salad, and two entree’s. They brought the two apts. and salad, together then before we even finished they brought the entrees. We ordered A rib eye, and a fillet both medium rare, both were cooked medium well. Rib eye was tough. The Demi glacé sauce was obviously a beef base sauce and was not very good. As a chef I was very disappointed. Won’t go back.
The food was delicious. Very kind staff. They all work well together. I enjoyed me overall experience.
The service was subpar.
Celebrated a friend's birthday on a Friday evening. It wasn't crowded, and the waiters were attentive, and made us laugh when we asked for them to take our group picture. I would go again!
