Wildfire - Oak Brook
We ate a delicious dinner here, outside. The portions are generous and the drinks were excellent too. We did not feel that they separated the tables adequately for social distancing. The servers were great.
Very disappointed in that when we were first seated they put us in a room. I had noted that I was celebrating a birthday and would have preferred a booth. I requested and was later seated in a booth along the windows. The waiter was great. The food was subpar. The brócoli was old and the prime rib was very salty. The celebratory cake was a piece of corn bread. It should have been something else like tiramisu or cake or pie or even vanilla ice cream but a piece of corn bread that I had for my meal so unacceptable. I would have paid to get a better treat to celebrate my spouses birthday. Not sure if I will be returning anytime soon.
Given the unprecedented time we are living in today, the service and fooD was up to par for the wildfire! It was obvious that safety cautions for cleanliness were being taken.
Classy place. I ordered tenderloin tips and received an AMAZING meal.
I went to Wildfire with my wife to celebrate my wedding anniversary and it was a good experience. The spacing of the tables were adequate and every worker had a mask on. The cornbread they gave us while we waited for our meal was the best. I ordered the trio steak dinner with each phone crusted with a different seasoning. It was delicious. Overall great experience.
Love this place the food is always great. And the atmosphere is always welcoming. Recommend for date nights.
Food was great, as always, but the smaller than normal menu (I really missed their French onion soup) made the small portion size of the filet medallion trio more apparent than usual
The service was great. My prime rib was delicious. Spinach was salty and drinks were delicious
Select menu, sad to see lots of favorites dropped. Steak/filet was dry, overcooked.
Very safe and pleasant atmosphere! Well done
Everything tasted great! Service was great! We will be back soon!
Our waiter was phenomenal! Unfortunately my steak came out cold. The waiter offered to bring me out another. The sad part was the manager did it come by to say sorry or to ask if there was anything they could do never saw their face. Couldn’t tell you if it was a man or a woman. It wasn’t busy so there was no excuse, there was only a total of 10 patrons in the restaurant so they could have made an effort to come over.
the Porterhouse steak is the Main thing I love the most
Wild Fire never disappoints. We were celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary, and we had THE most amazing piece of cherry pie, along with a big ice cream scoop of whipped cream. It topped off a fabulous meal.
Love Wild fire! Service is awesome and good quality food. This is by far my husbands favorite restaurant to visit. Thanks again!
The food was delicious but the drinks were horrible. I had a martini flight and they all taste like sugar.
The Halibut was prepared so that Macadamia nut crust was gluten free. It was outstanding.
One of my favorite restaurants. Usually order slab of ribs however this slab was the smallest ever purchased from Wildfire (last purchased 6 slabs on Mother’s Day and they were much larger). Very disappointing. Service was very good and remainder of meal met expectations. Glad they’re open though limited menu without apple pie desert also disappointing.
We found out waiter to be impersonal. It was our anniversary. No one asked or acknowledged that eventhough I specified when I made the reservations. Our cornbread was cold and our food came out extremely fast. Almost impossibly fast... but the taste of everything was good. Overall the evening felt impersonal and rushed.
Very disappointed in our last dinner here. I have been a pretty regular diner At wildfire for years And this was our worst experience at any restaurant.
Our server, while friendly, would disappear for 20-30 min at a time, making ordering and addressing the food issues we had difficult. One member of our party told the server of her food allergy. Our app was brought out and she verified the allergy was addressed with regard to the food preparation. She came back a minute later and told her not to eat it and she would bring her a new one separate. That did not arrive for 20 minutes. My wife ordered a petite filet, medium. It came out obviously charred and hard as a brick. She never sends food back but this wasn’t edible. Her replacement came out about 15 minutes later. It was ok. The other two steaks ordered by our party were on the high end of medium when they were ordered medium rare. If you are a steak place, you should be good at cooking steak. Just my opinion. Very disappointed to see our favorite, go-to place out out such poor service. On top of that, in tiny print on the menu they say they add a 4% surcharge to your bill to help their business recover from COVID-19. No issue there, but dial in your service before you go charging your customers, who are also trying to deal with/recover from COVID-19, extra. This is the first time I can say I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend. The decline in service and quality is unfortunate.
Always a marvelous experience. Jorge gives amazing, professional, knowledgeable service. We were celebrating my husband's birthday..and everything was perfect. Thanks
The new outdoor tables at Wildfire are spread apart nicely. The food the same delicious meal! The servers wore gloves and masks and were very attentive. The tables are set in the courtyard and are much nicer than the other restaurants with tables by the noisy and polluted parking lot!
It was amazing took the girl of my dreams out and had a great nightp
Great food selection, great tasting food, great service, my wife and I only come here 2-4 times a year and it is always a terrific evening.
Great food. Great ambiance. Nice view. Great service.
Wildfire adapted nicely to the Phase 4 restrictions for the pandemic. Our reservation (4 people) was honored immediately. The service was efficient and courteous as ever. The tables were apart. They food was very good as always.
My wife had the halibut special that she said was very good. My fried chicken was dry and not much chicken. The mashed potatoes were stiff and very dry.
Spaced out due to social distancing and great service. We felt comfortable and had an amazing time!
Great, as always.
As has been our previous dining experiences at Wildfire in Oakbrook, we enjoyed an excellent dinner and friendly, attentive service.
It was very nice to have a quiet meal that I didn't have to cook!
enjoyed my afternoon here !
Great to be able to dine outside on the patio at one of our favorite spots! Being in the shade helped with the extreme heat. Service was excellent - attentive but not intrusive. All precautions taken - lots of hand sanitizer stations around. Masked and gloved wait staff. Excellent well-cooked meal! Thank you!
Our server was great , super attentive and so nice . Anticipated our needs , didn’t have to ask . We had the filet trio and smothered pork chops , both fantastic. The cornbread was warm and fresh . We were in the Hilltop room , by ourselves for most of the meal . Highly recommend having a meal at Wildfire
Great food, wonderful service!
Always the most wonderful food!!
Great outdoor lunch experience even though it was in the 90’s. The large overhang gives great protection from the sun and we didn’t have to worry about getting wet if the predicted scattered showers came. Service was perfect and they kept our glasses filled with ice water which was much appreciated. I had my favorite meal - macadamia crusted halibut. Even though it was overcooked and the crust was burnt it still didn’t ruin my experience because it was still flavorful (thanks to their delicious lemon butter sauce) and the ambience was so perfect. Can’t wait to go again.
Service was on point, but I ordered the fried chicken and it was overcooked, a bit dry, and lacked proper seasoning.
Even though in the reservation I mentioned that we would be celebrating a birthday, it wasn’t until it was time for dessert that the server shared that the restaurant would not be serving a birthday dessert. Disappointed! I realize we are in a season of virus COVID19, but if I had been told when I arrived at the restaurant before the birthday person arrived, that would have been better than finding it out when I asked that the dessert for the birthday person be served!
