Wildfire - Schaumburg
Waldorf chicken salad was not good.
Excellent dinner - we had the Halibut special. Server was terrific - we were never rushed. The Schaumburg Wildfire is one of our favorite restaurants.
Always great when Mac nut halibut is on the menu....yum!
Excellent service and food. The Macadamia Crusted halibut was exceptional.
I have been there many times in the past and looking forward to my next visit.
Meals were outstanding! Attentive service. Pleasantly energetic atmosphere. Will dine here again soon!
Our server was quite attentive despite how crowded the restaurant was, and the food was delicious. I had indicated on the reservation that it was our anniversary, but nothing special was noted or offered to us, which was disappointing. The martini flight was great, but did not indicate that the apple martini rim would be dipped in cinnamon, not a fan of the cinnamon. Oh well, those are small problems. Overall the meal and atmosphere was great.
Highly recommend their macadamia nut-encrusted halibut - it's only in season for a few more days. Service was excellent, as usual.
The entire night was wonderful. Great food, service and atmosphere!!
Not only was my party seated immediately, it was 15 prior to our reservation.
The filet, the medallion trio and the halibut were outstanding, and the service was impeccable as always.
We will be back!
The macadamia nut crusted Halibut is an all-time favorite!
As per usual, a very good experience
Go there all the time but I don't care to comment on this visit. Not happy. They were not on their game tonight.
Food was very good. Filets were done to perfection. Server was courteous and food was served promptly.
Food is always good. Enjoyed a great salad and a great martini. Service
Our third year going to this restaurant, the second time using opentable to make reservations for birthday dinner. One of the best places for us to get a steak dinner and try to leave room for dessert.
Business meal, total of 5 of us. Overall everyone’s food was good. I ordered the Bison filet, they recommended it be cooked medium rare and I ordered it that way. It was cooked medium well. Disappointed that a restaurant that is supposed to be a high end stake house can’t properly cook to their own recommendations.
Great food, worth every penny. Service was amazing and will be going back for more.
so sad to see the halibut go. Each & every time I order it, it never fails to impress!!
One of my favorite restaurants, and love the atmosphere. The service was great and the quality of food is amazing.
Always amazing service!
Took mother in-law out for dinner
Bison filet was amazing!
The server was a little slow which caused our food to be cold.
Great with family
I have not eaten at a Wildfire for a long time and I’m glad I did. Great service, lovely martini and delicious food.
Great place for a nice lunch to catch up with friends. We split a large Wild Fire salad between three of us and sat and chatted for two hours without any bother. Very nice folks and great service.
Steakhouse salad I have been getting for years was changed from a very nice salad to what appeared to be wilted bagged greens, not impressed at all.
3 big birthdays
I'm always amazed how busy this restaurant is on a week night. It amazes me. Our server, Jamie, was excellent. Very attentive and knowledgeable. He recommended the halibut and it was very good. I also enjoyed a wine flight and delicious piece of coconut, banana cream pie.
Always a great dinner at Wildfire!
It was Tuesday and it was a full house - extremely noisy - impossible to have a quiet conversation. When this happens, people tend to raise their voices and thus it gets even worse! So our party hardly spoke.
A cup of French onion soup was excellent. We all ordered various steaks - they were cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.
The wait staff was so busy it would be unfair to complain about the service - that considered, it was prompt; it was adequate.
Server was excellent. I had pork chops and they were over done. Loved the roasted vegetables. Complementary birthday dessert was wonderful. Enjoyed sitting in the large booth at the bar. Relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately out of the featured Chardonnay so that was disappointing.
The prime rib sandwich was not as good as in the past. It was tough and full of gristle. Both of us were disappointed. This is the first time in the past 15 years and many times at Wildfire that we were not satisfied with our choice of food. Everything else was perfect!
We celebrated my daughter Christina’s 32nd birthday. She indulged in a Martini flight to kick of the celebration. Our meals were awesome.
Excellent food and service which I have learned to expect from Wildfire.
Went there for a birthday celebration. I noted that on the reservation and told the waitress. No candle, no singing nothing. Got the family style for 8 adults, 3 kids had to order off kids menu. No option for them to join the family style at a lesser cost. Some of the pork chops were burned on the bottom and some were red in the middle. Won’t be going back.
Unfortunately this location of Wildfire seems to be lacking in many areas. For the prices of their entrees, I expect warmer than lukewarm food and just ok service. Our server, while nice, never asked us if we needed anything, how our food was, and pretty much dropped off our food and then disappeared. When we asked another staff member if he could get our server, he replied "no". uhm ok. He did ask us what we needed, but by that time it was super awkward.
We were sat in a booth, which was very cozy for the 5 of us, but unfortunately the staff stored a stainless steel water pitcher on the banquette, so our conversations were interrupted several times by wait staff getting the pitcher to service other tables. That didn't leave us with a great dining experience.
A lukewarm burger and a lukewarm steak? Not for the prices at Wildfire, I expect that meat to be hot off the broiler, sizzling with butter.
The bread that was served with the goat cheese and tomato sauce appetizer looked and tasted old. Plus, what happened to the freshly baked bread? Who wants old dried melted cheddar bread to dip into goat cheese? What made that app great was the smooth delicate hot and creamy goat cheese, tangy tomato sauce, and fresh baked bread. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
We have frequented the Schaumburg location of Wildfire for the better part of 12 years, unfortunately a meh experience will have us going elsewhere next time we dine in Schaumburg.
I can have a better experience and a much smaller bill at Portillo's. At $48 for a strip steak, I don't want to sit at a table that doubles as a server station and a lukewarm steak.
Great service, as always! Manager, Mike U. Is the best!
It was ok just We got a wait for 40 min even with reservation! The hostess wasn’t very nice !!
Wife loves this place!
