Wildfire Steakhouse Oshawa
Exceptional food and service (as it always is). Thank you Jaimy for the fabulous service.
4 for dinner, salad was good and served promptly, we then waited forever for steaks, and then only 3 of the 4 come out and the potato and veggies are at the very best, mildly warm.....they offered to replace the meals and that was forever......it was a long, disappointing experience. We have been there before and it was much better, but on this day......it was a disaster.
Very nice, quiet, good food as always. We will be back. Thanks
Amazing service. Amazing food. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing price value for food amount.
Good steaks. Reasonably priced. Dining room ambience is so / so. Bar area seating is the better option. Great service with very friendly and attentive servers.
Not entirely a bad place to go... My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary but were put off by the lack of dress code, especially for an establishment with an average plate price of $30-$45. Backwards hats, dirty t shirts and flip flops on the patrons? Meh, we would rather go somewhere else next time, but were happy we at least tried this restaurant. The food was good, albeit expensive with a Cesar salad $14-$15? Very small portion, but it was very tasty and the presentation was on point. The ribs were so-so... Typical ribs; nothing special. The wife had the top cut center sirloin which she enjoyed very much. Overall- you'll get the same value, with lower prices and and a better ambience at The Keg. For a small business with only a few restaurants around, perhaps some constructive advice would be to keep it classy and allow a higher minimum standard of entry. People who are spending $200 or more for a dinner and a couple drinks, are not necessarily wanting to feel like they're in a less-than desirable atmosphere.
Had a medium rare Chicago strip loin and it was the best steak I have ever had
The peppercorn butter ontop is phenomenal
You have loyal customers. My wife and I have attended the Oshawa location on several occasions, with each time being better!!!!
I would like to keep this place more of a secret 😎!!
Thank you for making our anniversary special !!!
Very tasty meal... prepared just as we ordered. Service was excellent....they were attentive and always with a smile.
Excellent food and great atmosphere. Would go again and would also recommend to anyone.
Waiter slow to come to our table. When he did he asked for our food order. We said we would like to order a drink. When the main course arrived my steak was rare, I had asked for medium. The waiter quickly took it away and brought a new dinner in about 5 minutes. Manager came over to check that everything was now ok. Food was good. Final bill included mushrooms for $7 which I ordered but didn’t receive. Waiter quickly removed from the bill.
Service ok. Meal was luke warm. Have had better meal there before. Not great this time around.
We all felt the food and service was excellent.
I got a e-mail from open table the next day, Saturday, accusing me of not showing up for reservation. I was there with my wife at 6pm. I may not use you again,I will just phone restaurant.
Food and service high quality. Ambience is rambunctious. Lacks in small low cost niceties. No bread, no lemon in water, overpriced desserts. Plus-takes reservations.
My husband had the salmond and I had the squash ravioli and our food was excellent and delicious. Our appetizers were equally tasty. I enjoyed the drinks I ordered, but the glass were half full and I did not think I was getting my money worth there. My husband ordered a caesar and he felt it was too weak. I think that if the drink were tweaked a little, it would have been a five star outing for us since we really enjoyed the ambiance of the place. Very warm and beautiful.
We were given a gift certificate for this place. Based on the prices and quality of the food, we were quite disappointed. The food was very bland and tasteless. I had the Pickeral, which portion wise, was very small; overcooked and dry. My partner had a filet mignon, which had no flavor. The place was very noisy ( difficult to hear a conversation ) like a sports bar. The service was good. For $175 for two we will not be a going back. Sorry.
Steak cold, server kept intrusive kept reaching across the table interrupting the conversation. This is the first time a wildfire I have had a cold steak. Not sure I'll go back
Every time I reserve at Wildfire I ask for Lindsay.
She is excellent at her job and her personality is wonderful.
My friends are always impressed with her as well.
My friend mentioned to me on Saturday night that from now on she also will ask for Lindsay.
Hopefully this brings more customers to your restaurant.
Great job Girlfriend..
Wonderful wait staff and excellent meal. I will be recommending to all my friends and family!!
Great option, intimate setting and wonderful steaks. Also tried the four cheese dip which was heavy on the garlic but still good.
First a question. When we arrived for this reservation at 6:00 pm on a Saturday, the restaurant was virtually empty. Even being empty, we were shown to a table around the corner from the main dining room in a corner of the bar area! Several couples arrived later without reservations and were given tables in the main area. Was this caused because we booked through OpenTable? Otherwise we just don't understand. The restaurant was never busy that night!
The atmosphere in the bar area where we were seated was not acceptable. When paying premium prices, we do not expect to be in a noisy environment, we can get that along with good food at a neighborhood pub! The service was very good, although we had to chase down one of the support staff to supply us with salt. (Turned out to be a Costco salt grinder). My wife had the back ribs which she said were very good.
I had the daily special, which was very ordinary. Several hours later, I discovered that it was less than ordinary. We have no problem paying premium prices for premium food and service, but this was definitely bot the case at Wildfire.
I would appreciate your reply to our seating question as we would like to book other establishments through OpenTable, but are just a little reluctant based on our experience at Wildfire.
Anniversary dinner at Wildfire- they make you feel welcome, even holding the door on your way in. Excellent food- steak, lobster tail, garlic mash and vegetable. Delicious appetizers of calamari and escargot. We were impressed. Thank you.
Just ‘discovered’ Wildfire. Second visit and was a delightful experience. Food was excellent and my Thursday lunch with my friend was great. Our server Meaghan was so pleasant and friendly. Am looking forward to my next visit.
Awesome service! Friendly staff and quick to get our food. Not to mention amazing food
Was there with my Moms for her birthday. Our dinner came in about 10 mins after offered it , which seemed quick I thought. My potatoes were cold and so was the vegetables. I told waitresses which was very apologetic and took it back to the kitchen. The manager I think, brought my dinner back and now steak is of course sooo cold and rest was steaming hot:( which was also also apologized wanted make sure I was happy with meal.
My 1st tine I was there, hands down amazing so maybe there was different chef which shouldn’t matter...not sure. I have no problem paying for good food but that day wasn’t worth it at all.
First time there after they closed the Yonge St. Location. Much brighter and has a more casual feel.
Good food good service! Who could ask for anything more!
We have been to the North York location previously and wanted to try this. We were impressed with the service and enjoyed the special that was offered at the time. I would recommend Wildfire.
So much better than the keg
For sure we will be back
The Rib Eye Steak Special was done to perfection except that we find it a bit salty for our taste buds. Maybe go easy on the salt so Customers can just easily add it to their liking if need be. Otherwise my husband and I were both pleased with our food.
Food was awesome and there was a special on the rib steak and it was perfectly cooked to our liking, will be back for sure. The garlic mashed were good but i've tasted better the rest was excellent.
Ribeye steaks were excellent and cooked exactly to order. The blue cheese crusted steak was a little blue cheese heavy. Shredded carrots seemed an odd side selection. Escargots apps came quickly and had an uneven heat to them. They had a pre-prepared re-heated taste. We arrived at 6:00 and were through at 6:50, a little rushed to enjoy the dining experience fully. All in all still pleased but this isn’t fine dining.
Great service and one of the best steaks I’ve ever had!!! I’ll be back very soon 😁
This is our go to spot in Oshawa and we have never been disappointed. The management and staff are always courteous and efficient. Our food this evening was ribs and I had two appetizers being scallops and shrimp which were very good. Always a pleasure to visit and look forward to our next dinner being our 40th wedding anniversary dinner
Food was perfect. Steak cooked exactly as ordered. Great, friendly service. Not one complaint. Kudos!
Beautiful atmosphere, excellent food......
Never going to Keg again......
We were very disappointed in our visit to this restaurant. When making the reservation, we had indicated that we were celebrating a birthday. However, upon arrival at restaurant, there was no acknowledgement of this; nor was there an opportunity to engage with the wait staff to offer this information up. Our food was okay, although steak not cooked to specification and vegetables were undercooked. We ordered cocktails before dinner, and no one ever came back to ask us if we would like to order anything else - which we had wanted to do (wine with dinner would have been great!). We were back home within the hour of being seated at the restaurant, and that included an appetizer and 10 minute drive home. $200 later we were extremely disappointed and unhappy and won't be returning.
The food was only ok, my wife and I had filet mignon and they forgot to wrap mine in bacon. When it was brought back out the bacon was merely placed around the steak, it tasted ok and was cooked to medium rare as requested. My wife’s dinner was very disappointing, the roasted potatoes were a little dry and bland. Her steak was very odd, she requested medium and when she cut into it, it appeared blue and uncooked but it was not bloody and when held up to the light the colour was grey. The texture was as if it was almost raw and she couldnt eat the center of it. We also had garlic bread, 1 dessert and a $7 side of peppercorn sauce, no alcohol and the bill was $140. I’ll stick with The Keg and I’ll even save money too.
