Wildwood Restaurant - Geneva
Met another couple for dinner. Ambience and service in bar and dining room great. Always enjoy the variety on their menu but especially like their seafood selections
My wife and I went there for date-night. The table was ready when at reservation time. Service was prompt...in fact..we felt a little rushed by the waitress but not in a bad way. The crab cakes appetizer was awesome. The salad was fresh and dressing was perfect. My wife had the Seafood Risotto and really enjoyed the portion and flavor. I had the New York Strip steak and it was done to perfection. I would have preferred a less fatty cut but I know they can't always prevent that. Overall I would recommend Wildwood for a nice dinner. There is a little noise but it is a nice vibe for dinner.
This was my first time in this restaurant and my date's first time there as well and we were very impressed! The food and service were outstanding! The Brussels sprouts are a must try!
Excellent restaurant and service! Would highly recommend.
Nice ambiance, good food and great service. Most entree's come with a salad. Warm bread and water brought out to table promptly. Good value and experience overall.
We have visited Wildwood ~6 times now. Food and service are always top notch.
Just a wonderful meal with excellent service, just a bit noisy
Excellent food, good service and a great wine list. What more could you ask for!
It was good not great!
Shrimp cocktail was good. Shrimp were large and meaty
Crab cakes were fair and the Brussels sprouts on the menu with maple glaze were so sweet I couldn't eat them
Steaks were delicious (filet and barrel cut sirloin) and cooked perfectly. Service was excellent as was the wine.
Food well prepared, waitress very pleasant and attentive. Especially like the conversation friendly atmosphere with the nice white table cloths.
We enjoy going to Wildwood for special occasions. The food and service are great. This last time we were seated in the middle of the room with a large group next to us and behind us. They were quite loud and acted as if they were in a sports bar. They engaged their waitress in the conversation so it was quite loud to the point we couldn't hear well. For us, we will ask to be seated off to the side of the main dining area in the future; but I think it would helpful if your waitresses don't encourage the loud exchanges.
My husband said it was the best filet he has had this summer, both of us enjoyed our meal very much
Great steaks and seafood. Professional and friendly service. Great wine list.
I always enjoy going to Wildwood in Geneva. We like to go in the summer and sit outside on the patio. The food is always good.
Our party of four all had excellant meals. Three prime rib dinners and one Door County white fish dinner. The petite portion of prime rib was too much to eat in one sitting and was tender enough we almost didn't need a knife to cut it.
Ate outside. Wonderful ambiance and food. This is the place we go in the Tri-Cities.
Great setting although parking can be a bit difficult. Food was excellent and an abundant wine list. Attentive service - I will be back.
The pan seared pike was excellent, the back ribs (a current special) not so much...meaty but not “fall off the bone” tender, a bit much sauce added after the fact.
Great food, awesome server Melissa. The place is wonderful and we would go again.
Food and service were impeccable. Anxious to come back to Chicago and eat their again. Service was really second to none and made a HUGE difference in the experience.
GOOD JOB; wish I still lived in Chicago .
There were 6 of us and we all ordered different entrees. All were good and the service was good as well. We would definitely return. Unfortunately, it was very warm where we were seated which made it difficult for some of us. The bar area and back of restaurant were very comfortable. Our table closer to the window was quite warm and stuffy.
Food is good but our dining experience was only 55 minutes. We felt like we were being rushed out when there weren’t too many people in the restaurant. A generous amount of food is provided but it sure is expensive.
Just dinner with friends we see a couple times a year
Wildwood is a gem in Geneva
the ambience is so pretty and romantic plus there’s live music in the bar if you want to listen after dinner
the menu is creative and delicious
had a wonderful crisp Caesar salad and steak dinner- Can’t wait to go back
Ordered bone in ribeye to be cooked medium. Arrived well done. Said nothing like an adult.
Tried this place out for a birthday dinner. We were not disappointed. The artichoke fritters were great, and our entrees were delicious and plentiful. Cocktails were a great value. Will return.
Excellent service. Good food for the cost. Love the look of the restaurant.
Food quality, selection, preparation and presentation over the top. Service prompt and very friendly.
The food was excellent. It met the expectations of all four of us. The server was friendly, knowledgeable and responsive to all our requests. If you are near Geneva this would be a great choice for a fine dining experience.
The restaurant has good food. The steaks is what you should order. The tuna steak was very average. Nothing to write home about.
Their wine prices were on the high side. A bottle of wine I usually would order at most restaurants was about $40 more. So we ordered a cheaper bottle.
Thanks for you feedback. I must say I was quite surprised about your comment on wine prices. We get recognized for the value pricing of our wines quite frequently. If you know which wine you were looking at I would be happy to share with you our cost and margin. Thanks again, Patrick Neary , Owner
Great service and food. Nice atmosphere and pretty good value.
Wonderful Fathers Day brunch. Everything was delicious-we will be back
Food is fantastic, service was impeccable and we had a great time. Beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant and afterwards you can step into the bar area for a little entertainment. All in all a must go. I will be back
Food and atmosphere were terrific! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly.
The dinner could not have been better! The steaks cooked perfectly and the attention to detail (like checking on the temp of the steaks when they brought them and coming back to insure when half eaten the temp was still good) was impeccable. The salads had the right amount of dressing and were very fresh. The bread was fresh and phenomenal!
Tony the GM spent most of his time while we were there either helping his team or checking on guests! Terrific example of great service!
Great food and selections. Patio seating was fabulous at that time.
I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant for a couple reasons. I felt the food was wa to expensive for it’s quality. I and at best it was just average flavor. Although the portions were huge, quality mattered. I felt the salmon was over priced and tasteless it came on a bed of rice with snap pea pods. I thought made it tasted like a frozen weight watchers lean cuisine. The tuna poke was very bland also. I will say that the server was great and very attentive. I think Melissa was her name. She was great. My husband had the prime rib and he enjoyed that, it was huge.we took a lot of that home with us. I just think there is better restaurants out there with reasonable prices.
Great surrounding. Done inside or outside.
Generous portions, tasty prime rib. Will definitely be back
