Le brunch n’a pas été une experience surprenante, la tour de fruit de mer était bonne et les produits frais mais la suite aurait pu être meilleure, ce serait bien qu’ils revisitent leur menu ( la salade de betterave, les œufs bénédictines et canards confits ainsi que la burrata étaient moyens). Sinon bel édifice rempli d’histoires!
We were not advised prior to booking the reservation it would take over an hour and a half so we missed our pool time. The pool being the key element of our stay.
I am not sure the first food I want in the day to be a seafood tower with raw fish but the prawns were delicious and so was the fish cakes, and I hate fish.
Service was great, no complaints.
Expensive but that would be the expectation of a restaurant like that.
A bit pricy for the food as the most satisfying dish was the last - Mac cheese - and the desserts were very average. I would have expected more from Fairmont. The first two servings were barely warm. We will not go back for sure. Nice to be in the Chateau however as very nice.

Apologize for being rude but my experience was quite disappointed. First of all, I was waiting for 5 courses, like Open Table displays. When I arrived there it was 4 courses with some options that I was not quite happy with. Besides, the service was not too spectacular. I had to serve my wine myself and when my third course arrived I had no plate, knife and fork in the meantime my food was getting cold. In addition to that, the wines pairing options were ridiculous, wines that are sold at LCBO for 13 dollars. The sommelier didn't even have the whim to choose something that would delight the customer's eyes or think about them in terms of experience. C’mon we have a bunch of wines with good prices and value. Finally, I believe it’s time for you to review the food options or the value you owe for that because offering chicken with waffle was not a taste experience or this is not something you wanna offer to your customer. Taking into account to have a reputation to uphold, right Fairmont? Nothing finesse here only appearances!
A very nice occasion. The food and service were excellent, as always. The view towards Parliament made it very atmospheric.
For a lovely experience - great food, impeccable service and quiet so one can converse with their companion for a romantic dinner.
We had the 4 course meal. There was 2 pairings per course which none of them went together. The chef did not offer anything out of the ordinary. Some items lacked flavour.
I would suggest 1 outstanding item per course to focus on flavour rather than assortment choices.
Poor communication between the kitchen and waiter.
Waited 30 minutes between courses on a 5 course meal.
Went for brunch and was amazed! Food quality and service was out of this world!! Highly recommend!!!
The food was not as expected and experienced in prior visits. The coffee was really bad. I mentioned to the waitress that the coffee wasn’t as good as I tried here before and she came back saying we changed coffee brand. No action was taken to provide better coffee. Food was cold and service was a bit slow. Prior experience with Buffet style is better and waiter was more attentive.
The quantity of food was amazing for the price! Original, seasonal fare, delicious, sustaining.

We tried the Discovery testing menu. Overall, the taste was good. Servers were polite, but the customer service was standard. I think I expected a bit more considering the amount and place.
Limited to the five course dinner. No other menu available. Waitress had little interest or knowledge to explain the variety of premium wines that we paid for. Kitchen staff served courses out of order, first course arrived before our pre-dinner cocktail. Seemed like an assembly line process with little effort from wait staff. I realize COVID is a factor but it shouldn't be an excuse.
Our Family lunch platter for two was excellent. The food was more than enough for us.
The seafood was fresh and tasty. The combination of food items paired well with each other and all dishes were flavourful. It was served timely and staff were very pleasant and helful in explaining all the dishes.
We will certainly be back and will recommend the restaurant.

Atmosphere and service were great, as was the premium wine pairing. While the food was good, and elements were very good, it didn’t quite make the grade on the whole at this price point.

the chair was dirty with bread crumbs, the $49.99 was missing or had undercooked items, we had to wait for clean plates, this place is $30 more than Tuckers’ marketplace for half the items

Our experience was quite unpleasant. We chose the buffet, which was ridiculously overpriced ($49) for the quality of the food - for example, the ‘hot’ food was lukewarm at best (cold waffles and pasta are not good). The variety was a positive, at least. The $7 ‘fresh squeezed orange juice’ seemed like it was freshly poured out of a Tropicana box.
The server we had was inattentive and at times rude. For example, while we were still placing our orders for drinks she began to walk away. After bringing us our beverages, she did not inquire whether refills were necessary.
We would not choose to go back to this restaurant, for the buffet or anything else.

Overpriced brunch buffet. Selection was limited, had expected far more for $49 pp + tax before tip.
There are other places in Ottawa at far less cost.

We were very disappointed with service and food at the brunch offering..
We were seated at a nice table. It took some time to get water and coffee We asked if it was only buffet and if a la carte service was available. The waiter did not know and it took him some time before he came back to tell us only buffet and the restaurant was trying something new. In our opinion this failed miserably. We did decide to give it a try big mistake.
We sat close to the buffet tables. We noticed that the dessert table has no sneeze guard over it and that not all desserts had tongs and it was difficult to get the tarts off the plate with a lifter. There were two little children unsupervised at this table and it was not a pretty sight. We were glad we had gone earlier to this table. Another comment was that the baguette had no cloth wrap around it and everyone touched the end to cut their bread. In this time of Flu and other viruses that are being passed around we found this was very unacceptable. In all the whole experience was topped off with a hearty price tag. $50. Per person. We were not aware via the website that Sunday was only a buffet service. We were very disappointed with service and food display. We will not be recommending this restaurant to our friends in the future.
