A Yank Sing Signature dish, house-roasted Peking Duck served as a deem sum appetizer, Crispy paper thin honey-coated skin and tender slices of succulent meat stuffed in a steamed seashell bun, accompanied with finely slivered scallions and smears of tangy hoisin sauce.
Steamed Pork Buns
Warm fluffy bread buns stuffed with nuggets of honey-glazed BBQ pork.
classic whole plump shrimp, with a shrimp mousse croquette encasing, lightly battered and deep-fried until golden brown; served with a sweet and sour dipping sauce.
This was an outdoor seating at the Stevenson restaurant during Covid, which accounts for the average ambience score
The limited menu was very well executed and up to Yank Sing's high standards, with eager, helpful and thankful service, their signature dim sum was served in a high Covid protocol adhering manner.
While the food and service was outstanding, this is still the most expensive dim sum you'll find in the state, on par with Din Tai Fung.
One of my favorite spots and happy they are reopen partially and socially distanced
We are long term customers of Yank Sing, from the Chinatown location days to Rincon Annex. This branch was very disappointing. I can understand the ordering and utensils because of COVID, but not the tasteless food.
We won’t be returning.
Outstanding. So glad their back
Perfect Food! Perfect Service! Perfect Day!
Service 5 Star!
Try to make best of pandemic situation, but unfortunately the food is not up to par.
Considering all the restrictions they did a very nice job with food and the service !
Great social distancing and disinfection protocol. Limited menu but great food as always.
Due to Covid it is very hard to judge the food. Service was not great and that has nothing to do with Covid. Having heard much about the restaurant I was a bit disappointed.
I wish the pandemic was over.. I miss the Carts and seeing the food. But eating out anywhere is difficult. Yank Sing has always been my most favorite restaurant.
usually one of my favorite places for dim sum, not worth visiting during the pandemic because of the limited menu.
Edgar was the BEST server and we are so grateful for the experience.
Always delicious. Yank Sing is doing COVID era dining on the patio and using disposable plates and flatware. Great job.
The restaurant observes proper social distancing guidelines. I felt safe to dine in.
Food was cold and overpriced.
Yank Sing is always a crowd pleaser. Food and service are both solid and consistent.
Beware...you will be offered many plates at a very rapid pace when you first arrive (and are hungry) and no prices are offered. Ask for prices first if you care. When you get the bill, you may be shocked, as we were, that a tiny piece of fish costs $21. Way too expensive for the quality of food.
Yank Sing was yummy! But also wished the food came out hotter.
This is one of the few places I make an effort to dine in then traveling to SF
I have been going to Yank Sing since I was kid and it was just a small little dim sum place on Broadway...still outstanding. Prices are quite a bit higher and the setting is certainly upscale. Met for work and as it cleared out, the staff allowed us to continue discussing at the table until 3 and even sent us more tea, etc.
Nice dim sum. We went there on a Saturday with reservations. Not too crowded, service was quick and frequent. The room temperature was quite cool though as they kept the outside door open. Ended up costing much more expensive than expected!
Very central location for dim sum, and mostly of good quality, but rather expensive.
Good food, We went right when it opened and not all the food was ready. We only saw dumplings for first 45 minutes. Also the carts stuck to one side of restaurant and didn’t come our way often. Servers were friendly and food was good. The spinach dumplings only came out near the end but we’re worth the wait.
Went for lunch and our table was never empty of food. Not only , was it delicious but plentiful. Service was top notch and the place was packed. I would recommend reservations, and we went at lunch time.
Was fortunate enough to land a nice lunch-time table and enjoy another delicious dim sum lunch with a client today. As always, the Sea Bass was the star of the show, but every other dish was also tasty.
Can't wait to return soon. Thanks!
Our server, Karry, was spectacular. She accommodated all of our requests including dietary, and had a huge smile every time she came by to check on us. Best service at a Chinese restaurant I’ve ever had. The food was good too, according to my family. I’m gluten free so very little that I could eat. It would be great to have more GF options to take my experience up a notch.
A trip to SF would not be complete without at least one meal at Yank Sing. We prefer the Stevenson venue, but they're both delicious. Just thinking about it makes me want it again!!
If you’re looking for an authentic way to experience dim sum Hong Kong style, try this place! These little delicate bites are delivered on trolleys wheeled around the restaurant straight out of the kitchen. All the dim sum served are based on traditional recipes and would satisfy even the most discerning palates.
Lovely dim sum place
The food is ok, nothing too special. It's fast but overpriced. They wouldn't seat me until my one other party member had arrived, despite an empty dining room and the fact that I'd shown up 5-10 minutes early to my reservation, which seemed petty. There's a lot better dim sum over in Chinatown, so I'd skip this place to check those places out!
Super great service, wonderful food
The quality of the food is always delicious, but this visit, the wait was particularly long for the carts to come around. We got there about an hour after opening on a Sunday morning. The restaurant was about half full. We had ordered Peking duck and were told they were bringing the duck from another location and it would be about fifteen minutes. Fifteen turned into 30. When I asked again...it seemed they had forgotten it. The duck was cold but the meat was delicious. Just not the usual standard.
Great Shanghai dumplings and other dim sums!!!
But a little bit expensive. Overall one of the best dim sum place.
I think we were there on an off day. They kept coming around with the same food,,,very little choice. We barely sat down when the bombarded us with the carts, then they ignored us and we had to ask former food. Rather disappointing since it can be a rather expensve place.
Everything was great!
Always the freshest high-quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Best in SF.
Overpriced. My food was cold some was hot. They should not have taken a 3:30 reservations if they are in a hurry to get us out by 4:00. Too many other great places in the city for Chinese. It’s too bad last time we went is was amazing
Extremely over priced $140 for two people? The check seemed to have errors but the pricing is very unclear
Excellent Dim Sum; service slow, engaging clientele
Best Dim Sum in San Francisco for > 40 years!
