If I could give Southern higher than 5 stars, I would! We had a wonderful meal there and their gluten free options were greatly appreciated!!

We had an very enjoyable experience. The food came out hot, cooked to perfection and very delicious. The Brussels sprouts with the sweet Asian glaze is a MUST try. Our waitress was an absolute pleasure. We sat outside and as the sun was setting she accommodated us moving twice, and then as night fell bringing on the mosquitos, she moved us inside. Her patience was exemplary. Highly recommend eating here.

I generally stay away from hotel or condotel restaurants, but decided to try the Cypress Room based on comments from other Island Vista resort guests as well as the looking at the great menu. It was fantastic. Could easily stand alone as a restaurant destination. The service, the food quality, the ocean view, and the soft playing musician in the dining room made it a wonderful date night. Will be back. The bill for 2 with cocktails and appetizer was slightly over $100 but well worth it compared to other mid-higher end restaurants on the beach.
