Before there was a hotel, there was a saloon. In 1852, thousands of thirsty prospectors filled their glasses at the original Golden Gate Saloon. After Grass Valley was destroyed by a fire in 1855, the owners quickly adapted and sold whiskey and beer to loyal customers from a tent among the rubble the next day. A seamless flow from the bar to the dining room and outdoor patio offers our guests the perfect mix of food and drink. Our chef-inspired menus change on the first Wednesday of every month, keeping every dish fresh and seasonal all year long. At Fourk, we offer one seating each evening, allowing every guest to enjoy the experience together, from the first sip to the final course. Doors open at 5:30 PM for a relaxed happy hour featuring chef optional appetizers, discounted beer, and wine by the glass.
