The cherry on the top of our stay at the Boxer Hotel was having Bullfinch Social in the lobby! On our one night stay, we had dinner there: started with fried pickles and chilled cocktails. Then I was loving my fish and chips while my vegetarian husband was loving their meal-size falafel salad and side of Brussels sprouts. Were glad to see they opened the next morning at 6:30 as we had a business appointment. Yummy breakfast! Both evening and morning servers were professional, eager to help and suggest, followed up with us, and were terrific. Great place!

My fiancee and I had reservations for Valentine's Day at a different restaurant and didn't have a great experience, so we decided to go out again on the 15th and chose Bar Boulud. In this circumstance, we had an excellent time. The service was quick and extremely professional. They let us pick our table as we were a little early for the rush and were early for our own reservation. The cocktail list was outstanding. We started with the beef tartare and chicken liver mousse, which were both extremely good, and appropriate sized portions. Next we split the lobster risotto and the boudin blanc, which were both good, but not the best I've had. One feature of the dinner that I really appreciated was that we wanted a very non-standard wine to go with our dinner, and no one tried to change our mind or upsell us. We really enjoyed our choice with the provided food. Lastly, the desserts were phenomenal, especially the Ile de Flottante.

Mussels were great. The carpaccio was solid. The raclette was decidedly mediocre - mostly the veg it came with - bland and uninspired. The hot toddy was awesome!

For as long as I have been visiting Navy Yard Bistro I have only ever had great experiences. From the staff to the food to the ambiance - it’s a perfect dining experience for me and the guests that I bring with me. Thank you navy yard bistro for always going above and beyond my expectations!
