Super Essen, herausragender Service. Vielleicht sogar etwas zu ambitioniert, mit 4 Gängen waren wir in rund 1 Stunde durch. Für Deutsche dennoch beeindruckend, was man mit viel (oder sogar sehr viel) Personal bewegen kann! Einrichtung und Ambiente sind sehr schön, aufgrund der Fülle, des Tempos und des Geräuschpegels aber kein Restaurant für einen romantischen Abend, sondern eher für ein qualitativ super Geschäftsessen.

Barbouzard is the French Mediterranean restaurant K Street has adopted since it opened, 3 blocks from the White House and executed by a Toulon-born Chef.The Bouillabaisse is what most dinner tables come for: the great dish of the south of France, built the way the coast builds it, not softened into a stew. Around it the kitchen runs the coast from escargots in garlic butter to Daube de Provence and a Grand Marnier soufflé, with a champagne list and a Caviar Martini to open the night. By day the Express Lunch is a 2 or 3 course prix fixe, Tuesday through Friday, quick enough for a workday, with Golden Hour drinks through the afternoon.The room slows down after dark, which is why it fills with anniversaries and birthdays, and a dedicated private room takes client dinners, receptions, and the parties that outgrow a table. A year in, Washingtonian put it on the 100 Very Best list. Smart casual after dark.
