amazing! great customer service and food was incredible

We sat out on the patio for a most delightful lunch ... good cocktails, food and fantastic service from our waitress Lilya!! She got our complicated order (food allergies) perfect! And btw the Cubano sandwich was delish!! Did I mention ... even the music is good here! :)

Greeted with a smile and energy. Having to wait for other party members was no problem. Table was in the the side room. It was not crowded and conversations were subdued. Waitress was patient and amiable. Food was great...one of the better rib eye steaks I've had in awhile. Service was low key. We were visited as just the right times. All in all ? Out-freaking-standing !!!!!

This seems to be the last Czech restaurant in Chicago. We were looking for a place to hold a 100th birthday party for someone who loves Czech food and decided to try this. The food and service were both very good. We tried the schnitzel, all of the dumplings, and the roasted duck. All were very tasty. The prices are reasonable. The decor is low key. More neighborhood hangout than celebration. There is only street parking. If it was easier to get to for us, we would probably go once or twice a year as a casual dinner spot.

My friends and I stopped by Brokedown Palace in Wrigleyville before a cubs game, and it was easily one of the coolest (and cleanest) bars I’ve been to in a long time. The drink selection was awesome, lots of great beers and cocktails. I have to shout out the 20 oz transfusion, it was my personal favorite and something I’ll be craving this summer. Beyond the drinks, the bartenders really made the experience. They were friendly, engaging, and actually took the time to chat and get to know us, which made the whole vibe feel welcoming and fun. We ended up staying for a couple of hours, and honestly didn’t want to leave. We liked it so much that we came back after the game to grab some food and hang out until the traffic died down. The atmosphere was just as great the second time around. We’re already planning to go back this weekend for March Madness!
