All were excellent. Probably the best onion soup I've had in a number of years I would say the food gras holds its own with any I've had anywhere. Richard had the roast chicken which was outstanding he was afraid it was going to be dry it was moist and juicy and tender. As a side we did the duck fat fries, which were excellent had to bring a few of those home kind of a large meal tonight. I had high hopes but overall the experience was very mid. Our table was not ready for us when we arrived timely for our reservation. Service was slow. It took a long time for our server to show up at our table, it took a long time for our wine to arrive, and a long time for everything after that. Our server was a little abrasive, but she did do good wine service which you don’t see often. I’m pretty sure she forgot to put in our fries that she convinced us to get because they arrived basically at the end of the meal. The onion soup was good, we enjoyed the beet salad and the foie gras. My husband’s steak was flavorless. My duck was swimming in sauce. The crème brûlée was an epic fail. It was like they tried to brûlée a panna cotta. There was no crisp sugar to break through, it was just like a gelatinous blob on the plate. The coconut and passion fruit dessert was excellent. The food quality, flavors, and presentation were outstanding. Compliments to the kitchen staff. \n\nThe service could have been better. There were large gaps of time between when we saw staff. The bill was presented for example and we were ready to pay but it took about 10 minutes for them to come back to run the Credit card. Another observation, the staff couldn't figure out placement of the food based on the seating (we did not move seats after we ordered) and the starters arrived before the shared appetizer was cleared. I did ask them to slow down the service, so perhaps that is why we didn't see anyone for a while.\n\nThe first bottle of wine we ordered (at $165 per bottle) was not available. They offered something similar - which was excellent but the price per bottle was $250, which we learned when presented with the bill. The wine list is extensive and I think its more about impressing the guests with bottles that are $2000- $14,000 vs having the actual wine on site. I took my husband here for his 40th birthday. I had high hopes but overall the experience was very mid. Our table was not ready for us when we arrived timely for our reservation. Service was slow. It took a long time for our server to show up at our table, it took a long time for our wine to arrive, and a long time for everything after that. Our server was a little abrasive, but she did do good wine service which you don’t see often. I’m pretty sure she forgot to put in our fries that she convinced us to get because they arrived basically at the end of the meal. The onion soup was good, we enjoyed the beet salad and the foie gras. My husband’s steak was flavorless. My duck was swimming in sauce. The crème brûlée was an epic fail. It was like they tried to brûlée a panna cotta. There was no crisp sugar to break through, it was just like a gelatinous blob on the plate. The coconut and passion fruit dessert was excellent. Including tip we spent around five hundred dollars and it just left us shrugging at the end of our meal instead of raving about it.

This restaurant was very good and we all enjoyed our meals. The food quality, flavors, and presentation were outstanding. Compliments to the kitchen staff.
The service could have been better. There were large gaps of time between when we saw staff. The bill was presented for example and we were ready to pay but it took about 10 minutes for them to come back to run the Credit card. Another observation, the staff couldn't figure out placement of the food based on the seating (we did not move seats after we ordered) and the starters arrived before the shared appetizer was cleared. I did ask them to slow down the service, so perhaps that is why we didn't see anyone for a while.
The first bottle of wine we ordered (at $165 per bottle) was not available. They offered something similar - which was excellent but the price per bottle was $250, which we learned when presented with the bill. The wine list is extensive and I think its more about impressing the guests with bottles that are $2000- $14,000 vs having the actual wine on site. We loved the wine that we had so at $250 per bottle we were very happy but that is the kind of thing that is best communicated clearly before its opened.

Wonderful location for our 35th wedding anniversary. Food and service were impeccable, and we would be very excited to experience another amazing meal there.

Superb meal. Our waiter, David, was delightful - attentive, friendly and professional. The food was outstanding. The meal was ideally paced. Attention to detail is amazing - my husband is gluten free and every course was served with sensitivity to that. We will look forward to returning!

My wife and I had a great dinner after watching the marathon all afternoon. We saw online that it was one of the best restaurants in Boston and it did not disappoint. Standouts were the lobster gnocchi, duck breast and onion soup. Also the servers being in suits adds a nice touch.

Such an exceptional restaurant! The food is a flavor explosion. Thoughtfully developed menu selection and excellent service. We enjoyed the gem salad and beet salad. The brioche rolls are amazing. The crispy Duck and Halibut were so delicious. We come every time we’re in town.
