Another wonderful meal from start to finish. Delicious food, friendly service and some great wines to match. We tried some newer dishes on the menu, and were rewarded immediately. Starting with the market tomatoes with cukes and shiro dashi ( I could do shots of that sauce), then perkytoe crab with peach and brioche croutons. Just put on the menu, it was perfection, the crabmeat taking center stage as it should, while the brioche croutons added lovely texture. For mains, we had swordfish and a summer sausage dish. The swordfish, perfectly cooked while harmoniously balanced with artichoke, olive and pine nuts, was our favorite dish. The summer sausage came with the perfect Jimmy Martello peppers, and texture-wise felt so light and airy due to perfect execution in the kitchen. As a side we had some crispy butterball potatoes with bbq spice white sauce. Just perfect. Dessert followed; lies flottantes riff with plums and basil, and a chocolate cake with caramel and mint. To end we were offered delicious chartreuse pastilles. Simply splendid. For drinks we had an oloroso, a 2019 white xarello - mirabelles from cellar credo, a Pinot/gamay from cheverny … Les hauts du madon, and a 2018 Chenin blanc moelleux from Jean Bernard Metals. Of course Pascaline, ever generous and wonderful co-owner/somm, curated a wonderful selection. It’s rare that you can revisit a wonderful restaurant again and again, yet be continuously rewarded with such lovely food, drink and gracious service. High quality ingredients, a menu that changes with the seasons, always adding something new, while enabling new discoveries in wines and beverages, it’s a local treasure
