Das bereits 1833 ursprünglich als Wohnhaus gebaute und später als Gasthof genutzte Gebäude wurde aufwändig renoviert, wobei, soweit möglich, zahlreiche originale Materialien und Merkmale, wie die noch funktionierenden Kamine, erhalten wurden. Das Innere des Restaurants wurde von Thomas Juul-Hansen so gestaltet, dass ein modernes, aber gleichzeitig bodenständiges Gefühl entsteht, und in dem Elemente aus Zink, Marmor, Stein und altem Holz Akzente setzen. Die kunstvoll von Hervé Descottes konzipierte Beleuchtung des Restaurants integriert Papierschirme und Edison-Lampen, um eine durchgängig angenehme Atmosphäre zu erzeugen.
