Von dem Moment an, in dem Sie ankommen und reihenweise Murano-Glasäpfel und -birnen im Fenster des Mele e Pere erblicken, wissen Sie, dass Ihnen... etwas ein wenig anderes bevorsteht - die Innenausstattung des Untergeschosses ist vollkommen anders als jedes italienische Restaurant, das Sie jemals betreten haben. Es ist mit Anglepoise-Lampen beleuchtet und mit kräftigen, abstrakten Kunstwerken dekoriert. Die Speisekarte besteht nur aus einer Handvoll gut gewählten, gewagten und überzeugten Gerichten aus ganz Italien; venezianischer Fisch, sizilianische Garnelen, herzhaftere Angebote mit rotem Fleisch sowie Kutteln aus Rom und dem Norden.
