I have eaten at the Standard a number of times but last night’s meal was the best I’ve ever had there. This sentiment was echoed by my three dining companions. The meals we had were a tofu stirfry, fish and chips, confit duck leg and the pork cutlet special. A true gem hidden in the back streets of Fitzroy.

1806 is perfection on all levels. We have enjoyed many great whiskey nights here but decided to go to the Thursday jazz night lucky we booked as was busy in a good way. We loved all the cocktails especially the blood & sand so good! Highlight other than the gorgeous waitress who was delightful and attentive and obviously the incredible jazz band, oh his voice! Was the toastie on the menu, we had to order a second one it was so yummy! Will be back Thursday's a lot more! My fave melbourne bar!!!

Great quality food and service. The Thursday Steak special is well worth it...Will definitely visit again.
