Delicious lunch of starters, mains & dessert with madeleines fresh out of the oven to finish, what can I say! Everything was so tasty & fresh. Excellent service, very attentive friendly staff. Thank you Empire we will be back!

Visited at 5.30pm on a Thursday evening. Difficult to park nearby but such a beautiful traditional pub when we arrived. A great welcome and seated on a high table, which was great. The staff are to be commended, so attentive and friendly from recommending the beers to the food choices too. We ordered several small plates, 8 in total which is great so you get a good variety from the sausage roll, smoked lamb, crab sandwich, delicious salad and triple cooked chips to name a few. They all arrived when ready. We were delighted to be treated to some fizz for our anniversary- so kind, so stopped for pudding too! Delicious and worth a visit for a special treat. Thank you!

I took my partner to Johnny's Bar & Parlour last week as an early birthday treat, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the atmosphere – stylish, welcoming, and with a fantastic ambience that made the evening feel really special. The service was exceptional throughout. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about making our experience memorable. As for the food, it was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with great attention to detail. Johnny's struck the perfect balance between relaxed and sophisticated, making it an ideal spot for a celebration or a special night out. We left already looking forward to our next visit. One very small thing – and this is absolutely not a criticism, more a suggestion that might be helpful for Jemima and her team – would be to leave the drinks menu on the table after ordering. Ours was taken away, and with so many incredible cocktails on offer, we found ourselves wanting to sample a few more throughout the evening! A testament to how good they were. Highly recommended - I am sad that I don't live nearer as I would most likely be coming weekly!

It was my 22nd birthday meal. The staff were amazing, put us in this separate room with curtains. I had heard mixed opinions about this place but the food was amazing, the sizes of the dishes were perfect. The staff surprised me with a cocktail and shot for my birthday and they kept checking in on us. Thank you guys!
