Always an unbelievable treat to eat at Gracie's - I always leave feeling like I'm best friend's with my waitstaff and the food is insanely good!
My sister and I had a lovely experience when we went to Gracie's for Restaurant Week. The setting was intimate but not crowded, the gnocchi and the duck where sublime, and the creme brulee was perfect. They were happy to accommodate my sister's food restrictions. The Ellie's macrons with the check were a delightful surprise. We would love to come back and try the chef's journey one day!
Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time!
Tasty, fresh food, creative presentation, crafty cocktails, good restaurant week price and value and by far the best service in Rhode Island.
Don't walk, run to Gracie's this month. We loved it!
Fabulous meal from the restaurant week menu, with wine pairings. The gnocchi, the duck, and the Creme brûlée were all exquisite. Perfect seating, lovely service. And a sweet treat in my vehicle to enjoy on the way home!
I have had the pleasure of dining at Gracies many times before and I have to say something seemed off. Maybe it was restaurant week, but the service was overzealous-someone at the table constantly and so hard to have a conversation. We were offered a snack at the beginning - and charged $7 on the bill for a few tablespoons of nuts that you would receive gratuitously at any bar. That felt a little dishonest to me. The food was fine - but not the unusual flavors and creativity of past meals. The cocktail list was strange and expensive. The waitress stated they were ‘changing their format’ - that they now had a cheese cart we could select from - never saw that. I can’t put my finger on it - just not the Gracie’s experience I remember. The fine dining feel was not there. It used to be worth the splurge, but there are so many great choices in Providence for less money - I don’t think I’ll go running back anytime soon. Maybe it was an off night.
Dining experience was extraordinary, service was on point and our meal made my taste buds sing...
I'm sure it's because we went this time during restaurant month, Gracie's was very busy. Waited an hour after our scheduled reservation to get a table.
THAT BEING SAID, the food was absolutely astounding. I would have to say it is the best food I have ever eaten. I would highly recommend going if you're looking for a great night out with amazing food.
the restaurant was extremely Hot/Humid . . . quite uncomfortable honestly. Due to the weather being so unseasonably warm outside . . the air conditioning should have been put on . . .outside of that absolutely the best time . . .
The food was delicious, unfortunately that was all that was good about this place. I eat out a lot and I have to say this was the worst service I’ve ever received. It blows my mind they have any diamond ratings. It took over 30 minutes once seated to get a menu. While we were waiting for a menu they offered us our choice of snack, little did we know since we didn’t have a menu the small bowl of nuts we agreed to was $7. They sat a table down 20 minutes after us and we got to watch all night as that table was a course or more ahead of us. They celebrated our anniversary kindly with complimentary cava and candles on our desert which was great except it wasn’t our anniversary. So that was embarrassing, more embarrassing after the waitress came over and asked us if it wasn’t really our anniversary after desert and said she realized she made the mistake but figured she’d see it through. Horrifying. We saw endless new people delivering meals. Our original cocktail order was either not submitted or forgotten by the bar and when it finally arrived after the waitress checked on it my cocktail was certainly not worth the wait so it remained on the table untouched. The waitress never inquired or asked if I’d like to order something else. The main course came and everyone around us had cornbread service from a basket with theirs, not us. Never even saw a waitress during our main course never mind getting cornbread service. No one checked to see if our main courses were okay. We did have the chance to order wine before the main course, my husband and I ordered a glass of Cabernet, without asking they gave us both 6 ounce pours, though as someone who drinks wine regularly I’m sure it wasn’t 6 ounces but we were charged for it. If it was shame on them for doing that as I wasn’t looking for a $25 glass of wine when I had to drive home. I don’t think I’ve ever been so eager to leave a restaurant as I was to leave this. Great food though, I’d be upset if I was the chef.
Gracie’s used to be one of my favorite places and it pains me to write this review. My friend and I had the tasting menus this past weekend and I’m not able to note anything on that menu (aside from the gnocchi) because it was all so forgettable. I can still recall the sea urchin pasta that shined on their menu from about 5 years ago and I was expecting the same level of “wow”. Dinner took over 3 hours and there were gaps in between courses that felt awkward and shouldn’t have been. When the bill came, we were presented with the wrong price for one of the menus. This was handled poorly with awkward discussion about how “we changed our prices” so when the manager came to defend this price difference, I had to show her myself what the tasting menus are listed as online, to which she acknowledged her mistake and corrected it. We appreciated the card, decorated table, and champagne to celebrate a birthday. I have enjoyed items from the a la carte menu in the past and regretted not ordering from there, but tasting menus are supposed to create a special experience. With regard to a tasting journey, it felt like an unfortunate missed opportunity.
From the entry to the exit the staff was courteous and helpful. The service was excellent with knowledgeable and attentive staff.
The food was delicious, well prepared and presented.
Great location for a special occasion.
The ambiance at Gracie’s is amazing. The rustic but elegant decor, spaciousness, and intimate dining experience make this a perfect venue for a special occasion. The food was delicious—be sure to have some of the house-made pasta, the gnocchi and rigatoni will call to you when you think of Gracie’s again. And, you couldn’t ask for nicer servers!
Every thing was amazing. Honestly a perfect way to spend my birthday. Our server Lindsey was fantastic and could not have been more helpful. Absolutely fantastic way to celebrate my birthday with the family.
There were three of us and we all said that everything was excellent. The first and second courses were amazing. In our opinion the deserts were a slight step lower. We can't wait to return and try some different dishes. Also our wait person was the most knowledgeable about everything. I wish that we had gotten her name so that we might request her upon our return.
Food and atmosphere was fine. Service was not good. Although I don’t think it was primarily the bar. Ordering drinks took 15-20 minutes. In the bar and at dinner. Wrong drinks were brought out and took a long time as well. Was not good
I have been to Gracie's many times over the years because I am a long standing season ticket holder at Trinity and PPAC. We also eat in many fine dining restaurants. We were disappointed with the food and the prices. It seems much more expensive than it used to be and the food was mediocre. The food seemed to lack the flavor it used to have.
It was a very special occasion for us and all the staff went even further above and beyond than they usually do.
Gracie’s is a fantastic place for a special occasion. It is the kind of place you go to for an experience. Great food. Great service. A great night.
We had a lovely birthday dinner for my wife, which included a hand-written birthday note to her from Gracie's (I had given them a head's up when making the reservation), table glitter, and complimentary toasting champagne.
The meal was wonderful, exceeded only by the service we received from our waiter Marc, whose ability to be informative, friendly, and attentive is simply extraordinary.
This was a very special dining experience.
Just the best. Wonderful menu. I treating combinations of lovely fresh ingredients. Truly top notch service without being stuffy-and very knowledgeable about the wine list too. NTBM for a special meal. Order the 3 Course dessert offering and you’ll get things not on the menu. Nice to split.
Birthday dinner. Always impeccable service. Beautiful food
Gracie's is always fabulous. The staff was particularly attentive to my lady companion (we were celebrating her birthday that evening). The food was marvelous and it was a magical evening. Despite being busy, they arranged for us to sit at our favorite table. We felt like royalty there. Thank you!
We are long time customers of Gracies and have been to other restaurants in the country and Gracies is still the best.
Our original waiter was terrible- the support staff was wonderful. We came back for dessert after the show, and our new server was wonderful. Extremely disappointed with original water and when you are paying over 800 for dinner you expect your server to check in on you.
Awesome dinner. Did the 7-course chef tasting which was fantastic. Only downside was how long it took- about three hours. But they told us beforehand that it’s “a journey” and “an experience”, so we knew it’d be long. Terrific service and food.
Romantic! Chef’s tasting with wine pairing was amazing! Staff is knowledgeable about the food and wine.
Excellent food but our server -Evan was not attentive and slow with simple requests like an additional drink. I have had him before and same bad experience
Absolutely loved it! The decor and ambiance was beautiful. All of the staff were lovely, attentive, and very well seasoned industry professionals. We did the 5 course tasting and everything was surprisingly delightful!
Loved the cookies in our car afterwards too!
It was a lovely experience. Elizabeth our server was so vivacious and personable. She helped out us with recommendations . She was superb at keeping things moving in that we had play tickets. I am always a bit taken back by the prices for a glass of wine however. It is fabulous but very pricey . We do however love Gracies especially at the holidays. We’ll be back ☺️
Gracie's has always been our "go to" place for many years. We had visitors from Florida recently and there was never any question what special place we would take our special friends. Service and food were exemplary!
Attended A Christmas Carol at Trinity and headed over for a wonderful meal with friends. A Christmas Carol and dinner at Gracie’s is a Holiday Tradition. Wonder food great flavors and excellent service.
Delicious and perfect as always! We were in town visiting friends. Gracie’s always makes these moments special.
Exquisite service from getting help with accommodations for my reservation to finding cookies in the cup holder when the valet brought the car around. Everything was delicious and impeccable. Staff are really skilled as well as very friendly and personable. A very special place!
Gracies is my favorite place in all of New England. Perfect every time!
Gracie's was everything I expected. Nice atmosphere, great service and very knowledgable wait staff. Any questions were answered immediately and thoroughly. Food was presented perfectly and was delicious. Great place for farm fresh organic food prepared and presented exquisitely. Looking forward to our next dining experience at Gracie's.
There is eating, then there's dining and then rarely, there is FINE DINING. Dining at GRACIES falls in the latter category. Superlatives are insufficient to describe a meal at Gracies. Of course, it starts with the food - it's inventive, impeccably prepared and meticulously served by a staff that understand the nuances of elevated service yet resists the stuffy formality that often accompanies it. But, ah, the devil's in the details and that's where Gracies rises to the extraordinary...if you're chilled by the air conditioning, they'll provide you with a luxurious pashmina wrap; if you're celebrating something, expect a call prior to arrival to learn about little "treats" they are prepared to provide you and our guests; when you retrieve your car from the valet, there'll be a packet of cookies on the console as a treat for your ride home. Little treasures of thoughtful caring that elevates Gracies to an experience not to be missed - if you're lucky, an experience to cherish in those special moments/events/celebrations that make you smile when remembered fondly. We can't wait for our next visit - hopefully soon.
Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday and they took several steps to make it a very special occasion for her - immediate acknowledgment by the host on arrival, hand written card with the table setting, complimentary bubbly pour to start the night, as well as a candle on her dessert. Expected maybe a couple of these but not all. I’m addition the wait staff was very professional and helpful in enhancing our dining experience and advising us on our wine and dinner choices - it’s clear they would make even a less special occasion a great experience. To top it all off the food was amazing - Through our three courses, every single dish was delicious. They also brought some bread and a few small bite “amuse-bouche” type items that we did not specifically order. Definitely plan to go again!
The table setup and champagne toast at the start was a beautiful way to begin the evening. The 7-course tasting menu was fabulous! My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and are so grateful to the wonderful memories we will now have from our evening dining at Gracie’s.
Excellent in all aspects! Anniversary dinner pre-PPAC show. Timed perfectly.
Harper and Sarah and everyone was great! A really enjoyable“dining” experience.
