   The food is always amazing—my favorite is the curry. This was my first time bringing my mother and grandmother, and they really enjoyed the food as well. Since it was Mother’s Day, the restaurant was quite busy and louder than usual, but that’s to be expected.

   After reading reviews on Open Table; we selected Honey Salt. It’s an easy venue to find in a strip mall and convenient to park. We arrived and greeted by the sweetest and nicest team of hosts. We got our table quickly and started our meal. The table service was rushed a little because the lead server had all table along the benches we were seated at. The assistant and food runner were fast efficient. However, the main server seemed irritated and snippy with the other team members. Not sure if that was warranted or not, but definitively occurring. We thought the team was great and should have been treated better. They were working hard. We ordered the monkey bread and loved it. Next was the spicy ribs and they were cooked properly and hot temperature, but taste was bland. For mains we had the branzino and jindori pressed chicken. Both were great. I loved the grits with the chicken. We ended with the bookie cookie and it was the perfect size to share. We will be back to try more and hope the leader of the team will be nicer to the team.

   The fried chicken was painfully horrible. Some of the guests thought it tasted like the chicken was boiled then fried. All the breadding would fall off as soon as you lifted up a piece of chicken. The meatballs didn’t taste gourmet. The service was good but the food was just terrible. The dinner service should not be offered if the restaurant can’t handle it and just stick to breakfast/lunch.

    We had a lovely dinner. The restaurant had a special event dinner. It was delicious and the entire evening was delightful. Highly recommend.
