   Enjoyable evening, nice ambiance and wonderful and professional staff. Food was overcooked on several plates, duck ended up a little dry and scallops were burned on one side. Otherwise ver good time

   Lovely setting. Food beautifully prepared. Staff is particularily courteous and attentive. Prices are a bit high but worth every penny especially if you are celebrating a special occasion.

   Dave and I can not thank you enough for your kindness to us this evening as we celebrated our 55th anniversary. We shared with you our story of marriage 10 days before his deployment to Vietnam in 1970 and how very precious this day is to us, as well as our gratitude that he returned to be able to establish our family and continue to celebrate every year of our lives together. Your generosity is why we only go to dinner at your restaurant, to enjoy not only the best cuisine, but the most caring staff in all of Vermont. I share with you my poem to my precious husband on this day. Please pass it along to Jay, our wonderful friend and supreme waiter, who shares his poetry with us from time to time!    We had an amazing experience at Jessica's last night. The food was the best I've had in the 30 years I've been visiting the Middlebury area. Everyone at the table remarked on how flavorful the food was and how lovely it was plated. Jessica's wine list is very extensive with bottles at every price point. I particularly appreciated the last page with selections outside of the usual suspects. We had an excellent bottle of Greek wine, which one doesn't typically find in the US, at a very reasonable price. Finally, the service was impeccable. We were greeted at the door, shown to a quiet table, and waited on by attentive staff the entire evening. I highly recommend an evening at Jessica's!

   Lovely atmosphere, very pleasant staff, good drinks, delicious soup and salad, and except for an inferior piece of duck the entrees were very good. Nice dessert too.

   The sommelier needs some lessons. She opened our wine and then took it away and poured it out without us seeing it. Then she took away the carafe when it still had wine in it and then added a new bottle again not in front of us. Such bad training. Very disappointing.

   I apologize if there was some confusion or our standard decanting process was not properly explained to you Ella is an exceptionally knowledgeable and very well-trained sommelier who correctly decanted the bottles away from the table in the servers' pantry where there was adequate light to monitor the sediment.    Authentic restaurant that is beautifully decorated and also very inviting and comfortable. Every staff person was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable. The menu has many delicious choices. The Sunday supper was perfect in presentations for all 3 courses. The nicely trimmed pork chop was slightly overdone but the sauce and accompaniments helped to overcome that. We had a delightful time and will highly recommend and return.

    Swift house is so beautiful! They treat everyone like royalty service is impeccable. Rooms are perfect and the food is always amazing! The cleaning staff are so polite and work so hard.
