Osteria Amore came to life because we believe in the power of food to change your day, or in our case, change your life. Owner Eduardo Daja has been working in restaurants since he was a teenager growing up in Italy, and his time in culinary school only strengthened his passion for food. After culinary school, Ed stayed in Bologna to work at a family-owned restaurant. He moved to Utah eight years ago, and found himself missing his first love, food. For the past three years, Ed has been managing an Italian restaurant while also maintaining a career in tech and finally made the life-changing decision to open his own restaurant. That big decision was made possible for Ed when he met Marco Cuttaia, Osteria Amore’s executive chef and partner. Ed’s training in Bologna, considered the food capital of Italy, and Marco’s upbringing in Palermo, known for its incredible street food, bridge northern and southern Italian culinary tradition in a way that’s never been done in Salt Lake City.

    Our waiter and the other staff were extremely attentive. Alex was our waiter. He was great. Eric was a support staff and he was excellent as well

    We had a fabulous dinner at ‘mina. Our server, Ricky, was very helpful in choosing our entrees. Giro, one of the owners stopped by a couple of times to chat. The food was all delicious and it felt very much like an authentic Italian restaurant in Italy. We don’t live in Utah, but would come back often if we did.

    What a gem! Such intimate dining and funky, fun decor. Food was delightful. I’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened and it did not disappoint. The puffy bread was light and airy, not too much to fill you up, but enough to satisfy. The eggplant Parmesan was heaven worthy. Crispy crust and silky pomodoro sauce I’m already dreaming of having it again.  the ravioli was delightful as well, the hint of lemon zest, so bright and delicious. We were too full for dessert, but we will definitely be back to try the homemade gelato. Well done, excellent execution in every way.
