   Really enjoyable dinner. The staff were terrific throughout with a very laid back but attentive approach. The sharing main (Lamb Shoulder) was succulent, simply prepared, delicious and just the right amount for two. The Cornish mussels were a little watery and lacked punch but overall the food offerings were well above the average for the area. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and relaxed.

   Very small menu but food was sublime. Ensure there are at least 2 of you so you can go for more mains. My CHOP however was magnifique

   Exceptional food - superb quality, originally assembled finest ingredients...food you won’t have eaten before and want to eat again. Inspired chef. Eg smokey roasted Jerusalem artichoke with delicious dressing including capers and just the correct touch of an unusually good tangy cheese ....fantastic starter....

   Incredibly understaffed with only one person in the kitchen and one person serving customers on a busy evening leading to long waits for taking orders, starters and the mains - no time for dessert. The poor waiter did his best but dearly needed help. The octopus and aubergine starters were delicious, the veg sides great too, but the dry duck combined with painfully slow service hurt the evening.

   Definitely a local gem in Clapham, not sure why it’s not busier, amazing food every time. Staff very chilled and friendly atmosphere

   Third time eating out at May the 15th and I can honestly say that each meal has been excellent. Every single dish I have tried has been top notch, and the service is friendly and prompt.

   We went very much looking forward to our evening, having read the reviews. Unfortunately, ours won't be as glowing. The restaurant started off relatively quiet, we were served promptly and could hear ourselves talk. By the time we left, the restaurant was packed, the service then slowed (understandably, I guess) and it was SO noisy and SO hot that we couldn't wait to leave. I don't know how the staff manages to work in these conditions. Also, small thing, but the door to the restaurant was particularly hard to open! The food might suit some - rustic, lots of it. But we found it a little clumsy, to be honest. The whole burrata (starter) was served on a tiny plate and was topped with really over-dressed leaves. So, it was like eating an oil slick and if you tried to move it out of the way, you ended up with it all over the table. Whilst the portions were certainly generous, it didn't feel as though much love had gone into it, and with it not being particularly cheap, I would have expected a little more care. I don't like it when I go to a restaurant, pay decent money and leave feeling I could have done a better job at home. Overall, disappointing. Sorry 'May', we SO wanted to love you!

   Excellent menu, friendly and accommodating staff, great location. Same chef from when they were Abbeville Kitchen - food did not disappoint.

    Excellent Sunday lunch. Good-sized starters packed with fresh flavours, followed by filling, comforting, rich and delicious mains (1 roast pork belly and 1 fish/seafood casserole). Friendly, confident and knowledgeable service throughout.
