Originally constructed in 1595, during the 37th year of Queen Elizabeth I’s reign, it began life as two separate farm dwellings. Around the turn of the 18th century, it first started serving beer. Since then, the pub has changed hands and evolved over time—extended, altered, and restored—while always preserving its historic character and charm.

We visited Little Rock on a wet and windy day so hence the restaurant was quiet but as we were meeting a friend we had plenty to chat about. The service and food were excellent all washed down with an agreeable bottle of house white wine.
