Enjoy a classic English Afternoon Tea in our elegant restaurant or sitting room at The Capital Hotel, Apartments & Townhouse, located in the heart of Knightsbridge surrounded by some of London’s most prestigious stores. Indulge in the historical experience that is afternoon tea with our selection of homemade sandwiches, sweet delights and traditional scones. The menu comprises a choice of teas, infusions or fresh coffee, a delicious selection of delicate sandwiches, pastries especially created by Executive Chef Tom Brown and home-made scones served with clotted cream and The Capital’s own jams and compotes.

                                                    Had a luxurious, incredible afternoon tea. High tea in the US, even at excellent restaurants, just can’t compare. The sandwiches were delicious and fresh (chicken curry was our favorite), the teas were high quality (special shout out to the Assam), and the pastries were truly flawless (all delicious, but the pistachio chocolate canneles were a stand out). Yes, it was pricey but we felt pampered and like we got our money’s worth. I only wish they had a mini-kids version for small tummies, as they only ate a fraction of the meal. The staff were very kind and gracious. Perfect experience!

                                                    Very delightful and inventive afternoon tea. The pastries both savoury and sweet were amazing. The pastry chef Larissa brought out the scones and there were sticky toffee madeleines made just for us. The staff were fabulous and out waitress from Brazil was lovely. Really on a hot day in London it was an oasis of calm and elegance. British champagne too which was nice.

                                                    We made a last-minute reservation on OpenTable, so when we arrived, the team's system was not yet updated and they weren't expecting us. Despite this, they jumped into action and put together the most lovely afternoon tea for us. We could not ask for better service, especially considering how last minute everything was. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

                                                    I guess it’s fine if you like tea with all the pomp. Nothing blew me away. Pretty pricey but on par with the rest of central London. Did it for my daughters and wife.
