Amelia Gene’s, Downtown’s finest dining experience, welcomes a contemporary, globally inspired palate artfully designed to impress. Fine wines, classic cocktails, proper bites, and a can’t-miss cheese cart transport diners through a culinary journey with distinct hospitality that can only be found in this state-of-the-art, reclaimed space in Downtown Memphis.

Our menu emphasizes seasonality and a dedication to ingredient-driven preparations. Our Chef's culinary philosophy is characterized by restraint, allowing the innate qualities of the ingredients to eloquently express themselves. Our establishment is located adjacent to the Caption by Hyatt Hotel.

We are proud to offer an extensive wine list thoughtfully curated by our team. Should you wish to bring in a bottle not currently featured on our list, a corkage fee of $25 per bottle will apply, with a maximum of two bottles per party. In support of our culinary program, outside food is not permitted.

A must-visit Memphis gem! We had the best experience at Amelia Gene’s! We started with the cheese cart, which was just as fabulous as everyone says - such a fun and flavorful way to kick things off. The peach burrata salad was fresh and perfectly balanced, and we split the honey biscuits which were warm, buttery, and completely unforgettable. The ribeye? Cooked to absolute perfection. Every bite melted in our mouths. The cocktails were top-notch, and as always, the atmosphere was a total vibe - elevated, stylish, and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!

From the moment we walked into Amelia Gene’s, we were met with exceptional hospitality that truly set the tone for the evening. The food was not just good, it was memorable. Every dish was crafted with care and full of flavor, and the customer service went above and beyond anything we expected. What really stood out were the thoughtful little touches that made the experience feel personal and elevated. The watermelon fresca was refreshing and unique, a perfect palate cleanser to start. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, they surprised us with s’mores bites to go a sweet ending that left a lasting impression. The dessert was absolute perfection. It’s clear that Amelia Gene’s doesn’t just serve food; they serve experiences. Highly recommend!

It was amazing! The food, the service, and the ambiance were all amazing. I went on a Thursday for the tasting menu and ended up ordering off of the regular menu. Everything from apps, to entrees, and even dessert were amazing.

I enjoyed the Chef’s Experience which is only available on Thursdays. My girlfriend decided to dine from the regular menu and was extremely impressed. 10/10 on everything and if you go you have to get the table side cheese cart. We will be back! It is the finest dining experience you will receive in Memphis. Kelsie was an absolutely fantastic server and really elevated our entire experience.

One of the best dining experiences we have ever had! We opted for the special Thursday night Chef's Tasting Experience (along with wine pairing) and it was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary... PERFECT! All five courses were unbelievably creative and absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional as well. We traveled over 400 miles for this meal, and it did not disappoint. We highly recommend this restaurant and, if your schedule permits, the once-a-week tasting with wine pairing.

We had such a lovely experience!! Our server took extra special care of us for our anniversary, and we couldn’t have had a better time. All the food and drinks were delicious!

Service was good and the restaurant was beautiful. But i have to admit I was a bit very disappointed with the meal. No flavor at all. I had the pappardelle rabbit pasta. First there was barely any meat in it and then the pasta had zero flavor even though it sat in a sauce. The best thing about Amelias was the biscuit & butter appetizer and the dessert. I’m going to assume it was a bad night. It was a bit pricey for what i had so i did know if I’ll be back. Maybe some day.

The filet mignon was fantastic. Cooked exactly as I had asked. The duck was excellent too. Service excellent. Just one small criticism if I’m being picky; we were given two arancini in-between courses which we had not ordered. We thought this was a nice touch but then found we had been charged for them on our bill. Didn’t consider it worth mentioning at the time as we had enjoyed ourselves so much. Lovely restaurant.

What an understated gem around the corner from Beale St. The building is simple but there is nothing simple about this Restaurant. Speaking from experience this is a sophisticated world class restaurant. Our waiter Jackson was attentive but unobtrusive. The Cocktails were perfectly balanced. The food was a taste sensation and a feast for the eyes. We left feeling like we couldn’t have had a better dining experience.
