Service was great and the restaurant itself has a fun vibe, but we were disappointed with the quality of the food. Pasta was a bit undercooked and cold, and the pizza honestly reminded me of frozen pizza somehow, almost like canned mushrooms and a tinny-tasting tomato sauce. I’m sure it isn’t, but that’s what came to mind, unfortunately. Maybe it was an off day, but I don’t think we would eat here again.

My husband and I had a lovely date night at Annabel’s Kitchen. Service was excellent and we both enjoyed our meals. I was disappointed to hear the menu had recently changed and they no longer had the arancini balls or burrata salad. That said, the food was very good and we would definitely go back.

The Best Eats on Calgary’s Most Iconic Street
For generations, Stephen Avenue has been Calgary’s gathering place. Today, this historic corridor is evolving, getting a well-deserved refresh to better serve our growing city. But a street is more than just its pavers—it’s the people and the plates that bring it to life. Despite the construction, your favourite local eateries are standing tall and ready to welcome you. Choosing to dine on the Avenue right now isn’t just about a great meal; it’s about supporting the business owners who keep Calgary’s culinary scene vibrant.
