   My new favorite pre- Giants game spot. Great food, great service, awesome space. Can't wait to go back!

   We went with a group of 9 for my boyfriends birthday. While we were enjoying our meal, my friend found a tiny slug in his burger. We assume it was in the lettuce as it crawled around on our friends plate. A manager never came to the table, nothing was said to my friend besides at the end of the meal when they removed his meal from the bill. Anyone with a side salad did not finish their meal and my friend was clearly disgusted with the experience. No one wanted to cause a scene since we were celebrating my boyfriend, but needless to say, we will never be returning.

   Great patio, nice spot when weather is nice. Waitress was really nice and didn't seem to be her fault, but drinks took 20 minutes, food took over an hour, and avocado toast was initially missing the avocado, which was bizarre. Cool spot, would probably come back for cocktails but not the best dining experience.

   Hit up the Atwater for Sunday Brunch again with family in town. Once more, it didn't disappoint. The lovely weather (between days of rain) didn't hurt either as we were able to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air on the patio and a view of the bay. Food was excellent as always and served with a smile!

   They need to do a lot of work on their service level and the food quality is lacking. Too bad because the location and space are great.

   Our server was amazing and attentive and everyone in my party enjoyed apps and entrees and the specialty cocktails. There were two hostesses...the person that originally seated us forgot to update OpenTable that we had arrived and was confused when an hour later I told her I had received the "no show" email. The other hostess was amazing and was so helpful when we asked to move from outside to inside.

   They tried really hard but what they really should have done is called us and said "hey, you noted it was a special occasion and we're really understaffed so we won't be able to accomodate a seating request with a view". We chose this restaurant for a) the view (we ended up sitting at a table facing a construction site) b) the gluten-free pancakes (they changed the menu one week ago and did not update it online). The two reasons we came to eat here did not manifest and the large number of flies did not help the ambiance.

   We go to Atwater frequently, when the Giants are not playing at home as it is right behind the ball park. Good service, friendly atmosphere. I always order the mussels and clams without the clams. The portion size has however gotten much smaller...but not the price. We used to be able to share but not so much now. Still great flavor so worth ordering. Good beer selection on tap. Recommend the Fries which are a mix of russet and sweet potatoes with a great blue cheese dipping sauce.

    We came in for a late lunch/early dinner and they were very unprepared for the transition from lunch to dinner. We were so excited since the food from the Yelp reviews looked so great. We came in and were VERY DISAPPOINTED. First of all, most of the items we saw from the Yelp reviews were not on the menu. Second, we were told that many of the options were not available, but only after we ordered them. The server was also not very friendly and had to go back and forth to the chef or manager to ask about various things like the specials and if they were in stock. She was very slow and she made us feel like we were doing her a disservice asking questions. We ended up leaving without ordering food because all of the options we wanted were out of stock and we did not feel welcome there. Feels like they should just shut down food service in between if they can't get their act together post-lunch and pre-dinner. The restaurant space itself is beautiful and the views from the roof and deck are fantastic. We really wanted to love it, but the service turned us off.
