   Busy Saturday night. Restaurant was full and unusually noisy. Food and service though were excellent

   Always like this location, though the we had a late reservation, and its as if we were profiled as we'd sat by one of the service staff. We had excellent attention by one staff member, and if we we almost a both from the other staff member. If felt attentive by one and a bother by other. This is not our regular experience of this restaurant, so likely an off night.

   This is excellent French cuisine served in authentic French bistro atmosphere. Service is excellent. Consistently excellent - a Kits “must do”. Try the Salade Vercingentorix and the duck! Perfection.

   Au Comptoir was outstanding and the evening was perfect 👌! We sat at a table near the window and it was wonderful all evening long! The ambience was extraordinary and the atmosphere was like from out of Midnight in Paris when they return to the 1920’s! The waiters were all very professional and polite! The bartender made some fantastic cocktails! The food was delicious and the wine delightfully satisfying! Thank you for an enjoyable experience and we look forward to dining again in the near future! Much love, respect and gratitude!

   Disappointed! Au Comptoir has been our “go-to” for special occasions (an anniversary this evening). This time it fell off the grid. Service not up to the usual; incredibly long wait for the main course; and prices have taken a further jump. Price increase is understood, but not for the evening we experienced this time. An apology for the long wait would have been appreciated, but wasn’t offered. We’ll head elsewhere for future special occasions.

   Over priced seems to be so common these days but $9 for a bottle of sparkling water I can buy at Costco for $1.50! $19 plus 15% tax for a scant pour of sub par wine? Used to be a favourite but when a casual one course dinner with two glasses of wine for two with tip exceeds $200. It’s time to find a new spot.
