Bivouac Ciderworks' passion for ciders from around the world fueled a desire to bring our own version of cider to San Diego. We at Bivouac Ciderworks love the possibilities in cider, the food pairings, its connection to nature. What Bivouac strives to do is take the culture and flavors in cider and food from around the world, and put a southern California spin on them. We like to say that our cider is “infused with the spirit and adventure of the West Coast.” Our goal is to produce ciders that will taste equally delicious with a fine meal as they will at the top of a mountain after a long hike.

Our flagship tasting room is in North Park where we are focused on providing a place for cider experimentation and education, with awesome food to complement and enhance the cider experience. Our kitchen is focused on producing rustic dishes with fresh, local ingredients and 'West Coasted' flavor.

The setting is great! We sat in the suspended booth and it felt cozy even though it wasn’t sectioned off from the rest of the space. The cider is delicious, there are so many options. The food was a bit salty, but overall it was good.

Very, very nice staff. Did their best to accommodate our dietary limitations. Beautiful space. Nice variety on the menu. Food was very good if you have an adventurous palette. Vegan and gluten friendly! However some of our dishes arrived 10 minutes after the first meals hit the table, with no apology or explanation. By the time my meal arrived, everyone else was done eating. Larger parties seem to overwhelm the kitchen. I would happily go back on a date night, just not with more than four people for dinner. Fun variety of ciders for tasting flights. Just a note to anyone with a glucose sensitivity/intolerance, at the time of this review, ALL of the ciders offered have cane sugar added back into them after being distilled. I hope they will add at least one or more options with no sugar added or just apple juice added at the end of the process.

We love Bivouac! It’s our second time here and the food and ciders are truly incredible. The only negative is the tightness in dining space. But this is becoming a go-to for great dinners. Thanks Bivouac!

Friendly staff, nicely designed interior and an awesome range of ciders! The only thing that I would change is that they added Terra Chips to two dishes we got - the beet appetizer and the fish and chips. Was hoping to have fries with the fish and chips like everywhere else that serves it. While the beer was delicious, the store-bought chips in it threw me off. My favorite cider was the Albright. Not too sweet, not too dry. Great neighborhood - one of our favorites to dine in so far on our stay in San Diego.

An awesome space and even better drinks. Blown away by how good the various flavors were. The food is just the right balance of delicious and creative. Highly recommend a stop went for two different events here that were great.
