The modern-day, Spanish equivalent to the neighbourhood watering hole, BODEGA Tapas Bar by SABOR quickly enjoyed a cult-like following at its original location at SABOR Downtown. Patrons urged us to expand, so in 2015, we opened our Highlands location, followed soon after by 124 Street, St. Albert, Sherwood Park and Ellerslie, spreading BODEGA goodness across Edmonton and beyond.”

Finally Bodega in YYC! Fantastic Tapas menu, great vibe, great service and this location on 4th is going to be amazing. Boar cheeks, croquettes, piripiri shrimp and Paella are stand outs. They could use a few more cocktail options, but it's overall 10/10.

The food was great. The only thing is that we were told that our table was needed for 7:30 reservation. There was no where on my reservations that it said that.

Very nice Tapas style menu and food excellent. This is a new location and although service was a little slow, overall a very good experience and will be back.

My guest and i only ordered appetizers, as we had overdone appetizers at a private function prior to going to Bodega. Of course, originally the intention was to also have some of the mains. I am a trained professional in the F&B industry. Studied and worked in european as well as Canadian hotels and restaurants. The staff and owners are amazing, Whoever is choosing staff has done a great job. The restaurant has been only open officially a couple of weeks, and the cohesiveness of employees is amazing. From servers to individuals refilling our glasses, Thank you. Calgary has not seen a restaurant like this one in so many years, combination or spanish/portuguese dishes. Usually I can easily spot dishes that I can instantly choose as my mains. This time, as i said, I only had a couple of sharing starters, cod fritters and calamari. The menu is so well varied, it is a challenge to choose which is going to be your choice or choices for your first foray in this restaurant. Obviously, I will be returning many a time, after what I experienced. The owners seem to amazing restaurateurs, and I am happy that they have brought their restaurant to Calgary. I have a hunch they will the top restaurant in Calgary for years to come.

All great! (But not sitting at a table in the full sun in a hurricane. Not sure what would have happened if it were raining.)

We went knowing that its new and there will be some things to work out. Mixed reviews on the food as some of it was great, striploin was very disappointing and we sent it back and they were nice enough to remove from the bill as we did not eat it. Out server (Paul) was great and very friendly, as was the host who touched our table a few times. Biggest feedback here is the complete lack of hospitality from the lady at the front introducing herself to tables as the General Manager. We had a 6pm reservation for two and when we arrived there were maybe a couple tables in the restaurant. They sat us at the least desirable table in the restaurant which is a two top on the other side of the host stand. My wife asked to be moved (there were a few other vacant two tops) and we were told that they could not do that. I understand having less desirable tables to generate revenue, but those should be last resort. We booked a reservation for a reason, to ensure we could get in and get a decent table. When I say that the host standing at the host stand is literally hovering over the table and no less than 3 feet away I am not exaggerating. You can't actually have a conversation without them being a part of it. Pretty disappointing as we have supported Sabor when we used to live in Edmonton and were really looking forward to our night out here.

First time visiting this location, and we loved everything about it. Tapas was excellent, wine was delicious and the service from Quizer was outstanding. Very friendly, knowledgeable and great all around. We will definitely be back to this restaurant to try out more of their menu.
