   Great Mother’s Day fixed menu. Food was delicious but maybe a little salty on some of the sauces. Will definitely visit again.

   Really enjoyed our meal here and the waiter was excellent! We sat outside which was lovely except very hot at 85 degrees. Two tiny fans were out but not on, and when we asked, only one worked. It would be nice to have a little Music outside to minimize hearing other conversations. Would’ve loved a gluten free pasta option for the wild boar dish! The food aaa excellent, including the meatballs, papardelle, she crab soup, beef Wellington and lemon tiramisu.

   We started with a great crisp white wine. We had the the softshell crab plate and the stuffed poblano pepper at the bar. Both were delicious. We also followed up with an order of the focaccia bread to soak of the sauces on both of the plates. The focaccia was warm and deliciously light and airy. The bar also is set up to make it welcoming to you as you enter the restaurant. It is a small place so usually best to make a reservation or call ahead.

   New and interesting items on the menu, especially the squid ink tagliatelle w/ crab. Spicy and good. Lots of flavors. The wild boar pasta was similarly excellent. Enjoyed the chicken liver pate as well. Bombolo’s chocolate desert was rich. Salad was a good choice to soften all the rich foods. Really appreciated the white anchovies in the salad. They’re special. The wine (Dragon) was an excellent full-bodied white that stood up to all the strong flavors in the meal. Service was superb. This is a neighborhood treasure with great food!

   Our server was outstanding. She did an excellent job of explaining menu choices and making recommendations. Everyone at our table of six was delighted with our server and our food.

   Very pleasant surprise. Not familiar with the area and took a chance on the reviews in OpenTable and it did not disappoint. Tiny, cozy and friendly staff. Food was fantastic. Short menu (good things), each with fresh, tasty ingredients. A little tricky to find, but well worth the effort.
