   This is my second visit to Cafe Portrait for Afternoon tea and it is always brilliant. The food is excellent with lots of variety, the service is second to none and one of the guests had a dairy allergy and they made a dairy free selection which were some of the best tasting cakes I've ever had.

   Food was delightful and delicious. Anna the Hostess was attentive. Warm and Welcoming Just the right amount of attention Never felt rushed. The beet root salad was especially nice Assortment was very. Good with some unique twists would highly recommend for a special outing

   Booked for afternoon tea on a visit to Edinburgh. Staff (Manager) very friendly, helpful and attentive. The tea itself was excellent with a demi-tasse of soup (celery, sweetcorn, bacon ,celeriac and rosemary) - very tasty, nice idea. As well as very good sandwiches there was also a cheese scone with brie and balsamic pickle. On the sweet front there was a homemade jammy dodger, iced bakewell cake, and tiffin, together with homemade spiced mini-scones with cream and jammy. To finish off was a lemon syllabub which was clean and fresh to finish. All accompanied by endless tea and coffee. Would definately recommend.

   I took my mum as a treat for her birthday and have to say everything was excellent from the staff to the food. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

   We took my elderly mother here for afternoon tea on Mother's Day. The service was friendly but efficient; and the food was just superb. There were savoury items, sandwiches, scones and cakes, presented on a tiered cake stand. And served up with proper leaf tea.

   The food was fantastic but the staff made this afternoon tea extra special. They were attentive and very friendly. Best customer experience for afternoon tea in Edinburgh. Great value and for once afternoon tea felt like value for money.

   The service was phenomenal, they were very attentive and treated us like we were special. The food was lovely and even designed in special ways, such as macaroons in the shape of love hearts for valentines day. Thoroughly enjoyed it and was worth the money. Will go bake for the next special occasion in a heartbeat.

   I reserved a table for afternoon tea. I mentioned how I was needing the gluten free options for one and normal for another. This was forgoten when I arrived so we had to wait for them to be freshly cooked. We were there an hour before they came. There are many options which is good and the staff were amazing. I just sometimes felt like I needed to call ahead that day to remimd them as well as the reservation. Which is annoying. I was stuffed at the end and luckily had no where else to be. I didn't mind the wait but others I'm sure would.

    We came here for afternoon tea. This consisted of sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea. The quantity and quality of the food was excellent and the service was very good. The staff were helpful and friendly.
