We had dinner last evening at Rule Prime Pasta. Overall it was good. The service was excellent!! The cocktails were excellent. The appetizers were good! We had the shrimp scampi and the pasta bolognese. Both dishs were good, but they both needed more sauce. The rigatoni was sticky as was the pasta in the shrimp scampi. Just a ladel more of sauce would have really helped. The raspberry dessert was delicious!!

Food was good. It took a little longer to receive our entrée, but was worth the wait . Paige was an amazing server.

What a pleasant evening! It looked like rain and thought we would have to sit inside but they have a beautiful glassed in patio with fans. Beautiful and comfortable. Courtney was our server and expertly guided us through the menu. I had the lasagna. Different than most I’ve had but was open. Was not disappointed. The vodka sauce on lasagna was something I’ve never had before and was different and amazing. My wife had the Cajun chicken pasta and was equally as tasty. The wine we pared with it was a Super Tuscan. Accented our meals perfectly. We had no intention of having desert but are we glad we did. Lemon/rasberry cake garnished with fresh whipped cream and strawberries. For the quality of service and meal it was fairly priced. Oh, and I can’t speak highly enough about our server,Courtney. Pleasant. Knowledgeable. Gracious. WE WILL BE BACK!

Servers were very personable, friendly and attentive. The best martini was made here. For pasta dishes. I think they could afford to provide more as it's always a bonus to have leftovers the next day or two. The atmosphere was lovely albeit a little noisy. But I highly recommend this establishment.

Disappointed in the new Rule. I would bring back the old one. Hickory is in dire need of a better Italian establishment but not sure this remake is it. We love Italian food but found the new menu lacking. We ordered the piccata and it wasnt piccata. Piccata should be a lemon white wine sauce with capers and I could not describe the sauce used on the non-breaded tenderloins. (Ps use cutlets)More tomato like but certainly not piccata. It would have been served better with angel hair pasta too. Also, no veal or branzino to be found on the menu. Italian wines were lightly represented on the wine list. Not sure what the remake was all about. Interior seemed much nicer and waitstaff was visible and attentive but not sure what the smocks were about. If you’re going to go Italian…..go Italian!

Our server Alejandro was excellent ! A top notch professional and asset to Rule Italian. So helpful in explaining the menu and expertly assisted us to fine tune our choices . We throughly enjoyed the evening and look forward to dining at Rule Italian again.
