Runner-up in the 'best overall experience' category at the 2018 GQ Food & Drink Awards and a recent addition to the Michelin Guide, Carousel's open kitchen is home to an ever-changing line-up of talented chefs from around the world who share the team's philosophy on what eating out should be all about: amazing cooking, friendly service and a shared experience from one table to the next.

The benefits of working hand in glove with some of the best chefs in the world have certainly rubbed off on co-founder Ollie Templeton and his team, as evidenced by their acclaimed lunchtime menu of seasonal crowd-pleasers. Favourites include 'Duck Ragù "Fazoletto" Pasta with Parmesan Foam', 'Grilled Dairy Cow Bavette, Salsa Verde and Beetroot' and 'Sourdough Crumpet, Baron Bigod, Black Walnut Ketchup and Périgord Truffle'. Our advice though? Try 'em all.

For parties of 6 people or more, please note a deposit of £10 pp will be taken over the phone once you've completed your OpenTable booking.

Lovely room. Nice wine list with some natural low intervention options. Good ingredients. Slightly under seasoned at times. Good for groups.

We went for lunch. The food is really good but SMALL portions and therefore expensive for what you get. Also the service was interminably slow despite very few people being at the restaurant.

Found this restaurant on OpenTable and happy with our choice. Not that easy to find (Google Maps send you to the wrong street) so had to phone them and a very nice young lady helped us find them. Sort of "Italian Tapas" but portions plenty big enough for us!

Food just wasn’t up to expectation. No textures in the food although we ordered quite a variety as they are small plates. We were quite disappointed as friends had shared that it was a great place. Based on our dining experience we would not go back.

We had a wonderful lunch, the guy who served us was brilliant, offered us excellent recommendations and was the right level of attentive. Food was excellent, food combinations that I have never tried which were not just inventive but delicious. It has a great vibe, decor, music and set up - really couldn't fault it and would definitely recommend to to everyone!

The food is very inventive here. You sit at long tables with other people - we sat in a corner of the table and were a bit cold as it is a very big room to heat. Very reasonably priced and a good wine list. Would definitely recommend but if you go in the winter try and sit nearer the ceiling heater!
