   I ordered a burger medium rare and it came to me raw. I sent it back, only for it to have appeared to have been "nuked" in a microwave. The burger was brown and burning hot. I ate it and fortunately, they did comp me the burger, without me asking. The oysters were tasty, and the other mains sounded good. Only issue is pricing is very high-$36 for pastas, $40's for mains. I'll try again on a noted occasion.

   Really glad to have Clark’s in Menlo Park. Great vibe, friendly service, and the food was seriously good—fresh, flavorful, and done right. Everything just worked. We’ll definitely be back.

   As a huge oysters and seafood fan, I was ecstatic about Clark’s coming to town. Must say I was quite disappointed. The oysters were certainly good but that’s about it. Everything else from how we were greeted, to service, to the food was just ok. Not bad but not great either. I’ll go back for happy hour for the oysters and maybe the martini. Not sure if it’s worth it for a meal.

   First of all, Congrats to the Clarks team. The restaurant looks great, the food and ingredients are top notch. The servers are well trained. The menu is inviting. But only gripe -- Oh boy is it loud! We were there on a Friday night and the place was packed. We sat in a both and not only was the sound bouncing down on us from. the ceiling, but we had to shout at each other to have a convo and our poor server, Camille, must have thought we needed hearing aids as we had to get right up next to her to hear what she was recommending. We will be back, however, I sincerely hope you get an acoustic engineer to figure out how to deaden the noise. Next time we plan to sit outside.

   Took a friend to lunch for her birthday. It was a beautiful day and we were seated on the lovely intimate side. Patio service was attentive and friendly! We shared a perfectly cooked artichoke with two delicious sauces, and we both ordered the crab Louie, which was also delicious and had plenty of sweet buttery tasting Dungeness crab. We were both avoiding carbs that day, so had to pass on the incredible looking sourdough bread! Will definitely return!

   Potatoes in the clam chowder soup were not cooked thoroughly. One little morsel of clam was in the clam chowder. Otherwise wouldn’t be able to tell it was clam chowder. Nobody came by to refill our water. We ordered a Coke that was filled with almost all ice and no Coke. Had to order a second one for which we were charged. When we were having lunch, there was an Awful fishy odor, indicating not so fresh fish, which spoiled our appetite. One little morsel of clam was in the clam chowder. Otherwise wouldn’t be able to tell it was clam chowder.

   Fabulous food and service. We went for a friends birthday and they brought out a celebratory glass of champagne which was very thoughtful. So happy they are in Menlo Park!

    I have been to Clarks twice now for lunch and both times were great! The food is excellent, delicious fresh sour dough to start with and the ambience is very nice. I like the booths and outdoor seating. We had the burger, clams and lobster roll all delicious and fresh shoestring fries with garlic and rosemary. Don’t skip dessert!
