For Matt Moran’s ACT debut - antipasto, pasta and charcoal
dishes bring a touch of Tuscany to your table. As with all
his establishments, at the heart of his menu is quality

We had friends coming from interstate and we wanted give them a great Canberra experience. We shared the Bistecca alla Fiorentina between 4 along with delicious antipasto and sides. All the antipasto and sides were definitely 5 star. The steak (compared to the one we had in Florence) wasn’t quite as fabulous as we had hoped but perhaps that was just not being Florence. The service was excellent! We had a great evening.

Attended Compa's truffle dinner. Food was magnificent only one dish wasn't to standard of all others. Lacked taste and texture, was exceedingly bland. Wasn't aware of shared table arrangement but was fine on night. Service was disorganised but I would suggest it was volume of customers receiving same/similar dishes that caused the confusion. All in all great night.

It was overall good ! Just didn’t want my steak already cut which made it a bit cool Also hate asking for service

So glad we got to dine here, we came up from the south coast especially for it based on Matt Moran’s reputation and diners reviews … we left looking forward to our next visit based on the wonderful professional and friendly service & fabulous food we experienced ! Steaks were perfectly cooked to order, pasta just delicious and my trout heavenly! Entree were perfectly tasty treats to set us up for a really special meal. Wine choices were made thanks to Dario who was more than happy to talk us through options, regions and styles. Our waiter was so efficient and personable as was the lovely fellow whose name I missed but who looked after us keeping our glasses topped up whether it was dealing water or wine!! Overall just a fantastic night 🙏

We loved the food and service was great. We had an early booking prior to a theatre event but despite the empty restaurant, they sat another couple right next to us who talked loudly and made it difficult for us to talk / hear each other. The manager offered a discount so that was nice of them to acknowledge the mistake. It was the only disappointing thing and we will definitely be back again.

The snowy river trout is genuinely life changing. If you like fish, this will out do whatever you’ve had prior. If you don’t, you soon will. Highly recommend the roasted carrots as well!

The steak, spatchcock and octopus was well cooked and beautifully flavoured and balanced with all the ingredients on the plate. To add to the delight was how well the vegetables were cooked and flavoured.

Another beautiful meal. Our favourite Canberra restaurant. Sides to die for and melt in your mouth steak. Lovely staff and comfortable seating.
