Chicago’s cutest little French bistro & wine bar. Coquette is a pink Parisian dream offering modern French cuisine paired with exciting wines and cocktails.

Led by Executive Chef Marcos Campos, Culinary Director Erwin Mallet and Executive Pastry Chef Shannah Primiano, Coquette expresses their vision for a modern bistro, where quintessential recipes and iconic dishes are matched with contemporary influences. Though our cuisine may be “nouvelle” our equipment is undeniably primitive, with all cooking done by live-fire ovens and mangal grills. We also feature a dry aging system that blends state-of-the-art technology with methods that go back thousands of years to unleash the flavor and tenderness of the beef, duck and fish prepared in our kitchen. Coquette’s wine list is a playful celebration of France’s most under-appreciated regions and boldest winemakers.

Loved this place! The food was delicious 🤌🏻 and the service amazing! We went for my birthday and we got complimentary drinks at the end. Definitely coming back.

Im a foodie, so I enjoy sharing my experiences. Our server Julisa was great! As this was our first time at Coquettes. I try different restaurants every year with close friends for my birthday. Julisa was patient & willing to answer all our many questions. She was very knowledgeable of the menu & popular dishes. I ordered the lamb shank, coucous, & Champagne Crusta cocktail. Delish!!! 10 out of 10. However, my friends ordered the Chicken Wellington & were "under whelmed". It lacked flavor & seasoning. They saw it's potential & planned to "doctor it up" at home.😘 Side note, they loved the Butter butter potatoes. And because it was my birthday, Julisa surprised me with my fav dessert Creme Brulee' to celebrate me. She also invited us to go behind the bar for an after dinner drink - "Bartenders Special" his twist on a French 75. It was a very nice touch to end the night. We will definitely be back. Overall, an enjoyable evening.

Food was so disappointing. Scallops dish was awful. Artichoke dish had no flavor. Service was poor. Glad we tried it because it seemed promising and would always wonder, but will not go back and will recommend to others to avoid it.

Great food, fun decor, friendly service, all of the boxes checked. Parking is difficult but Coquette is worth the effort

Our experience at Coquette couldn’t have been better! We stopped in for drinks and just a couple of small plates — the beef tartare and lobster croquettes. Both plates were delicious and the bread served beforehand was tasty and also the imported French butter served with it! After dining, we were invited behind the bar for an aperitif, where we chatted with staff and were able to take in how cool the design of the room is and how good everything (from our server to the furniture pieces) there made us feel. This place is SO GOOD…gotta go back soon!

We were thrilled to encounter a fabulous environment; unbelievably delicious food and drinks ; and excellent service from not just our adorable server but from the assistant chef, barista and we were treated to an after dinner drinks behind the bar experience!! Got to meet the Chef too ; just outstanding!!

Coquette is a beautiful restaurant with an outstanding Parisian-inspired atmosphere. We dined there as a large group to celebrate a birthday, and the staff was pleasant and very helpful when explaining menu details and offering suggestions. One highlight was the caviar bombe, Kaluga caviar served directly on your hand. It is a fun and interactive way to enjoy a small portion of caviar with a group. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow at times despite the restaurant not being overly crowded. We waited a while to place our main course orders after finishing our starters, and drink orders also took longer than expected. A few of us decided to share a bottle of wine, but we were disappointed to learn that both our first and second choices were unavailable. There was also some confusion with our third selection, as a different wine was initially brought out for tasting. Once that was resolved, the correct bottle was poured without a tasting first, and it was left on the bar counter rather than at our table. I am not sure if that is standard practice at Coquette, but it was unusual based on our past dining experiences. To their credit, the staff comped the bottle of wine because of the confusion, which we greatly appreciated. As for the food, the dishes were somewhat of a mixed bag. Some were quite delicious, while others lacked flavor. Overall, it was a decent experience, but we expected a more polished and elevated celebration at a restaurant of this caliber and price point.

I threw a dart to try something new, and I could not have been more pleased with my choice. Coquette was just fantastic. The hostess (Leia), greeted me by name after I told her we had an OpenTable reservation and got us seated immediately. The atmosphere was fun, intimate, and casual. The background music was not too loud, and even after all the seats were taken, it was easy to hold a conversation. Every person we met, including the chef, was polite, friendly and made us feel like we walked into someone's home for dinner. We had the Chicken Wellington, and the Beef Tenderloin, and both were exceptionally good. The beef was a perfect medium as requested, and the outer pastry layer of the wellington was crisp. Very flavorful and not overpowered with spices. There are 3 restaurants under the same ownership and each "room" has it's own theme. We got a tour of the facility since we were the first customers of the night. I truly can't say enough good things about Coquette and the staff. Coquette is most surely going to be on my "repeat" list for my next trip downtown. It's only 7 minutes away from the United Center, and there is $5/hr public garage parking right across the street. A+++ If you're thinking about making a reservation here, do it! You won't regret it.
