The absolute worse sushi spot I been to. Wasn’t even greeted when I walked in, just sat randomly somewhere and was never attended to. Chairs all have stains on them, bar tender rudely said I didn’t greet HIM?? Very odd. Def not a spot to bring a date very low vibe, much better spots to go, Go to bash down the street.

Celebrated birthdays with a chef's-choice sushi dinner. Had several things we hadn't had before. Most especially had a delightful evening eating outside and enjoying the experience.

The sushi we had was very good . The best I had in a long time. We went on a Sunday and there was no one in the place . So I recommend going on Sundays.the drinks were also great. Good job ! Keep up the good work.

Really good sushi for Detroit. The matcha cocktail is maybe my favorite drink in the city. Highly recommend this place!

Found this place on Tik Tok- true Detroit hidden date night GEM! Went on a Sunday night, sat in a cute corner booth overlooking the restaurant. Jesse the bartender was friendly and helpful- made sure our drinks were exactly what we wanted. We got 3 sushi rolls and all of them were outstanding (we almost ordered a 4th). Adding this to our date night rotation!!! Thank you for a great experience. Xoxo- new Detroit foodies:)

My husband made a reservation here for me for my birthday (he called ahead as he was traveling for work). I arrived on time and chose to take a seat at the bar. Once sitting down the bartender handed me a menu and that was it. There was one other person at the bar and maybe 3 other tables- the restaurant was not busy by any means. After waiting 17 minutes I finally got up and left- hadn’t been given water, hadn’t been asked for a drink, nothing. Worse, one of the bartenders was grabbing water right in front of me for other tables (who came in after me) and didn’t even bother to look at me. I ended up going to Chartreuse for my dinner and it was great. I’ve worked in the service industry for years, I’ve bartended, I try to be very understanding when I can but there was no reason for the complete lack of acknowledgment. This was my first time coming here and unfortunately the last.

We were so impressed by the high quality Sushi @ Detroit Sushi! I am Japanese and our family has lived in Japan with me for a few years, and we were all very happy with the delicious Omakase meals that we received from Chef Shinya! Very friendly and a great environment for any occasion! I have two small boys and they weren't quiet but the restaurant staffs were so sweet to my boys. We will go back there very soon, and now we don't need to drive up to Novi to get Sushi.
