   Fabulous dinner with family on our visit to Melbourne. Proper Lygon Street experience. Food was amazing. Wonderful service (didn’t get our servers name but he was from Pisa!). 10/10

   Superb Italian dishes - polpette, burrata, lamb skewers, calamari, crocchetta. Fiano and Nero d'Avalo. Excellent, attentive staff - Alessio and his colleagues didn't miss a beat all night.

   Sat outside. Perfect weather. Service was great. Very attentive. Good was excellent. Will definitely be going back.

   Had an okay dining experience but the service was terrible. Came with a large group and left after paying the bill. Was called by the team at Osteria a couple of hours later and was told “you haven’t paid the bill” when we most definitely did. The man on the phone during the first conversation was confrontational from the start, didn’t apologise for the mix-up and didn't admit that they had made a mistake with our bill. It felt like we had to resolve the issue for them. In the end we had to go out of our way after numerous phone calls to return to the restaurant to pay the remainder of the bill. Very poor form especially as they wasted our time when it was their error from the start! Will not be returning.

   We are now regulars at the DOC Osteria. The food is delicious, and the service is very personal. Great atmosphere and great for both a quiet dinner as well as dinner with friends!
