Welcome to Epice, a charming Lebanese Bistro in the heart of the Birmingham. After 11 years of serving Nashville, we have opened our second location in beautiful Birmingham.

Our wonderful lunch sandwiches are wrapped in pita breads baked by Middle Eastern bakers and are served daily. At dinner, we keep the lights low for a great ambiance for a date night or celebration.

The bar serves a gorgeous cocktail program as well as fun wines from all over Europe and the Middle East. Come out and relax!

Second time to the one here in Birmingham. I had lunch the first time and we had dinner the second time. The ambience food and everything was great! New favorite restaurant in town.

Our first time at Epice. What a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Our server, Claire, was remarkable… knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming. Had a short chat with the owner who troubled to stop by our table to check on our experience. The food is delicious, creative, and beautiful on the plate. This place is a gift to Birmingham. Thank you

Fantastic under all aspects, our waiter could have been maybe just a touch more present but otherwise I would go back in any time! the food was all complex and ingredients very fresh.

Friendly atmosphere. Talked with those at the 2 tables next to us. Server was pleasant and helped with making recs. Food was delicious which says a-lot as I make many of the dishes! The only disappointment occurred when we requested to taste a Lebanese wine that the server recommended (sold by the glass), she said they would not allow that. That was truly a first for us as we have never been to an upscale restaurant that would not allow a tasting.

The maître d’ was very personable. We had Madison as our waitress and she gave wonderful recommendations in regards to food and drinks. We can’t wait to come back!

Having lunched at the Nashville location, I was eager to try our own Epice in Birmingham. Like its counterpart, the restaurant is small and sleek, with modern and minimalist vibe and elements like exposed brick and natural wood walls. As we often do when first visiting a restaurant, my husband and I tried several items. I appreciated the presence of non-alcoholic options on the cocktail menu; I enjoyed the refreshing “skinny, spicy, sober,” a margarita-like drink, while my husband had an extremely chilled NA beer. We shared a few small dishes: hummus beyrouti (which included ground sirloin), spinach fatayer (savory puffed pastry), and arnabeet (a fried cauliflower dish, our favorite). Although the menu doesn’t indicate, small peasant salads came with the mains we ordered. All of the veggies - in the salad and the crudite with the hummus- including beets, cucumbers and carrots, were extremely crisp and fresh. Chicken is a rare restaurant order for me, but alas I chose the Tawook chicken skewer which was really flavorful and juicy. I liked the accompanying grilled veggies but preferred the bright herby pearl couscous that came with my husband’s grilled barramundi over the roasted potatoes on my plate. For dessert we ordered the 2 most exotic sounding options: Roz be Haleeb, an orange blossom rice pudding, and Knefah, kind of like a creme brûlée with a sweet cheese in place of the cream and shredded filo dough in place of the caramelized top - a delish discovery! We both commented how nice it is they avoided making these desserts overly sweet, as is the American tendency. Service was on point, with attention to detail like exchanging plates and silverware between every course and napkins placed on the back of the chair while in the restroom. Our excellent experience did not cone cheap; with tip (and no alcohol) our bill was $200. However we sampled a lot, all of which was very high quality, and we are believers in “you get what you pay for,” so we will return!
