Join us for our new Chef's Counter Tasting Menu! A throwback to the EsterEv of yesteryear, enjoy an 8 course dinner curated by Chef Dan and team. $100 per person, including the $20 deposit at booking. This is a communal bar seating experience, 6 spots per seating. Optional beverage pairing for $50. For allergies or dietary restrictions, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance. We cannot guarantee accommodations for late requests. Cancellations or changes must be made 24 hours prior; otherwise, a full menu charge of $100 per person will be applied to the card on file, this includes reduction to party size. A 25% gratuity will be charged if the merchant copy of the credit card receipt is taken. A 5% health and wellness charge will also be added to all bills to support staff healthcare. Please note, we cannot accept DanDan, Fool’s Errand, or Fauntleroy gift cards.

The food was pretty underwhelming but the service and cocktails were great. There were a lot of inconsistencies across the dishes, for example, their bread service and the roast chicken were wonderful, but the tavern style pizza and the different pastas we tried were pretty underwhelming. For $400,I would expect a lot more. And by more I mean the pasta not being over cooked.

It was my first time at EsterEv last night. I had done some minor menu browsing and a review reading prior to booking. I will say, I was not sure what to expect but I knew I was in for some good food. Once we arrived, we checked in and were seated right away. Alex C was our server and she was phenomenal! We started off with Bread & Broth appetizers. The Monkey bread was so good, I wanted more! & for our Main dishes, we did the pork chop, the tomato nduja on the plate for the pork chop, was such a nice touch, and very good! We also went with the Roast Chicken, the chicken was soft, juicy and full of flavor! We wrapped up the night with a chocolate budino. Our experience here was great, we had such a wonderful time looking at the interior design, talking about the decor and enjoying the food. We will definitely be back!

Service was slow and the server seemed to move at her own pace. We arrived early and asked to sit at the bar, but we were told our table was ready and we could be served at our table. It was nearly a half hour from the time we sat down to the time our drinks arrived and there were open spots at the bar. Food was excellent, three of us ordered Walleye and all agreed it was very good. Noise does carry but the mood was lively.

We were there for a special dinner with a guest chef and it was wonderful. I appreciated that the owner and guest served along with their staff, who were very attentive. The food was eclectic and delicious, we loved the creativity without skimping on flavor. I’d go back for a regular dinner!

Made reservations for our anniversary. The recently remodeled dining room was so inviting and comfortable, in no way pretentious or stuffy like some restaurants of this caliber. The service staff was friendly and attentive. Food was top notch, honestly could have had a whole meal of the Cavier Tater Tots. Cocktail program paired perfectly with the dishes we ordered. Will be back 100%

Excellent, creative food and terrific service! We have enjoyed every dining experience at this Bay View standout! PS We still think Dan should have won Top Chef….

Amazing dinner experience, highly recommend getting the caviar tater tots, chanterelle and marrow toast, and walleye.

Loved the atmosphere and how homey but still well-curated everything was. Knew what we were getting into price-wise, but were still a little let down by how small some of the starters/1st/seconds were. Everything tasted amazing, including and maybe especially the cocktails. I'm vegetarian and was so excited by how much of the menu they can modify to make vegetarian, I was able to try a lot more than I thought I would. Staff attention to detail and to customers was incredible. I now badly want to go and see what they have in other seasons.
