One of my favorite places in Wilmington. Great food and service. Chef interacts and will prepare to my dietary needs. Vegan accommodating. Had the poached halibut over hummus and broccolini. Perfection! Love the easy vibe and intimacy of this restaurant. Outdoor seating available but can be noisy on the front porch as it is on 3rd Street. Sat at the bar and loved it! Desserts are to die for and saw diners coming in just for dessert! Vegan olive oil lemon cake is a must! Even if you’re not vegan.

This was our first time and we had a lovely experience. We tried several small plates and loved each one; the burrata, the meatballs, and the sfincione. They have a wine flight option which is really nice. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

Charming place with a great vibe. Beef bolognese and risotto (with shrimp) were wonderful. The menu is limited but this place is well worth the visit! They make a mean Cosmo too😁

Farfalla is a welcome addition to the many quality restaurants in downtown Wilmington. The service at Farfalla was impeccable - the wait staff professional and attentive. The chef visited our table to be sure the food and the service met our expectations. They did - and we greatly appreciate the personal touch the chef added to our dining experience. The restaurant itself is relatively small, but the two dining rooms are well equipped, creating a warm and very pleasant ambiance. Most critically, the dishes we tried met and surpassed our expectations. The menu is not extensive, but the dishes offered cover the gamut of the best of Italian cuisine - with just the right amount of culinary originality to make those dishes stand out, as did my bolognese and my wife’s chicken parmigiana. The salad we had - “This Isn’t Cesar Salad” - was unique and delicious - as was the olive oil cake. I am pleased to add Farfalla to my list of favorite dining spots.

What a gem! Not your typical Italian / red sauce place. An elevated and innovated dining experience. I had the sfincione and the chicken parmigiana with lemon pasta. I have not seen sfincione on a menu in the USA. The chef put his own spin on it as the bread was crispy (it is traditionally fluffy) but it was none-the-less amazing. And I NEVER order chicken parm in a restaurant but the lemon pasta intrigued me. It was insanely delicious! My wife was equally impressed with her meal, highlighted by the This Isn’t Caesar Salad, which had no dairy or cheese, and the olive oil poached fish. An outstanding meal.
