   Our table was booked for 7.15pm. Our starters came quite quickly. However our main course we had to wait at least 30 minutes. There were tables who came in after my group, ordered ate and left before we got our main course. Not that we were in a big rush but one of our group of four didn’t have a starter and was getting hungry. We have eaten here for the past four years on our annual visit to St Ives. Our group had Belly Pork and the beef brisket croquettes for starters. Or main course were the Chicken, Ribeye Steak and the Ribs. All were excellent in taste and well presented. The staff were very good and friendly. The Firehouse is always part of our visit to St Ives. We will be back next year.

   Great service to the table and the food was amazing, best we’d had all week. Perfectly cooked and seasoned Rib Eye steak for me and gorgeous sea bass, mash and a lobster bisque for the missus.

   steak and ale pie was very good, also the crispy chicken burger, we had a window seat with great views across the harbour

   Great place stunning view starter was great my main was over cooked to a point where it was so chewy I left most of the steak the black pudding was a crisp my wife had the ribs they were very good it was our anniversary so did not want to upset anyone complaining the view from our table was very special and the service was excellent just my main meal!

   We were very happy yesterday to celebrate our 10 years anniversary at the firehouse. We were sitting upstairs, tab. 23. As starter we had the pork ribs which were very tasty, as main I had the flat iron steak and my partner the ribeye which was so fabulous that we decided to order one more ribeye. Unfortunately, what we received wasn’t the ribeye, we double check with the waitress and she very annoyed confirmed that was a ribeye. I told her that the taste was completely different and to please double check with the kitchen (which she didn’t), she then super nervous confirmed again that was the ribeye. After a bit she came back and told us that actually she did a mistake and was the rump steak, which was rubbery and unchewable. Honestly not good at all. We work in the hospitality (my partener is a chef) and just see the meat we already knew which kind of cut it is. The waitress made a mistake and it can happen, in this case she should have removed the rump steak from the bill, instead we paid for it with all the service charge that they didn't deserve. We are really disappointed about that. The place is also expensive and waitress should to be more carful.

   Our table was ready when my group arrived. The staff were friendly and professional and the whole group thought the food was amazing and was worth every penny.

   I would recommend the Firehouse Bar & Grill. It was so easy to book on line and our request for a window seat was confirmed. I can't wait to re-visit. The staff were efficient and friendly.

   Probably the 3rd time we've eaten here now. Food always absolutely spot on. Service always nice and accommodating for kids in terms of changing a couple of things. Always recommend. Great value for money!!

   Tried to book in person at the restaurant in person, however it wasn’t open to the public but staff were present inside. As we were taking details of tel no a femail member of staff exited thepremises & we tried to speak with her re a booking for that eve. She wasn’t helpful at all, almost rude & departed. An online booking was made on our behalf by my daughte. She later passed the premises to ask for a window seat. -“First come first served Basis” !!!!!! My husband , son in-law & grandson attended & it wasn’t busy at all. They asked for one of the window seats which weren’t occupied. The same female previously mentioned was keen to take them upstairs. They asked again for the window seat on the ground floor & she reluctantly with a face like thunder took them to the window seat. The meal they described as very poor was served & thecservice was average. The bill was presented & they asked for the service charge to be removed. Customer service could have 100% improved the customer experience. My 8 year old grandson even detected a very poor attitude from the young woman. This is the 8 th consecutive year our family have frequented the premises. I am afraid this is the last !!!!

    We have visited several times mussels good .. lasagne good .. steak not as good as previously . Nice staff .. just a couple arguing on next table close to us .
