Firepit at The Paper Mill is all about cooking with fire. Specialising in wood-fired and
charcoal-grilled meat and seafood, Firepit is casual dining at its finest in a stunningly
restored heritage space. Premium-quality meat, fresh market seafood and locally-sourced
vegetables are cooked by our pit masters over fire, on the vertical grill, or in one of two
custom-built wood-fired ovens.
Starters include Sheep’s milk saganaki, pan-fried with honey, lemon and ouzo, Wagyu
tartare, Blue swimmer crab salad. Main courses showcase grass and grain fed beef grilled to
order over the coals, a selection of ribs and the famous snapper schnitty. Add a generous
array of sides for a memorable feast.

Great for big groups. Awesome little private rooms whoch is awesome. Friendly service. Bit loud for 2 person dinners I feel, but great for groups. Cocktails were fresh. Food was good, my lamb was a bit chewy but lamb is like that sometimes. Our waiter was great very charismatic. Restroom facilities were clean & well stocked. All in all a nice meal.

Had a reservation, drove 30 minutes to get there to be told that the kitchen was exhausted and that they probably should have called to let us know but they were just too flat out. Then asked what else there was on offer and got told to go to McDonald's up the road. Looked forward to dining here but after that I definitely will not be returning.

Been here before but this time we came here for the passion fruit cocktail!! The food was a lot better tonight. Order a bit of everything to share. Had an issue with one of our dishes due to a miss communication but the waiter fixed it up quickly. The fish and lamb was a winner, also loved the backed cauliflower. The dessert took a very long time to come out because of a big function. Waiter was polite and apologetic when we pointed out that our coffee/tea had gone cold while waiting, but again he sorted that out for us quickly. Overall, had a nice night and would comeback again.

I was recommended The Paper Mill for my birthday and it was great! Amazing food, atmosphere and service. Our waiters were so sweet and helpful! My only con was it was boiling hot in there and so many flies. For such a beautiful restaurant I wish they had proper inducted air con so guest could be comfortable. Some people I came with enjoyed it too but also wanted to rush out of there due to the heat. Other then that I cannot wait to dine here again.

Seeing as your Instagram account operative deleted my mini review/comment on a post - I thought I'd definitely leave a review through this platform. There was a lot that was wrong this particular night we visited and dined at Firepit. Had been once before earlier in the year with friends and had a pretty pleasant experience so thought my husband and I would take both sets of parents there to celebrate Xmas/New Years...and boy were we embarrassed afterwards. From the moment we walked in nothing was 'right' as such. From a new employee taking my order and not putting my fathers drink through to half the side plates being taken away even though there were 2 sides ordered for the table to not being shown or offered dessert menu the list goes on.... The employees there are not well trained at all and have no idea about customer service and how to handle different situations. If you say you are going 'to check on something' well you are supposed to come back to the customer and let them know the outcome etc. Not just walk off never to return. It's an amazing venue for the area but needs a lot of work. With not even being a year old, and claiming on multiple social media posts that you have "the best" of something is quite questionable. A lot of work needs to be done to have the consistency of other similar restaurants. I think that's the best way to put it.

I was very happy with the food and service in The Paper Mill. The staff are very friendly and full of sense of humour. Especially I score 10/10 for Patrick who served my table. He was so friendly and dedicated, made us feel very comfortable and always want to come back because of him

This place was ah-mazing ! Had dinner with my two sisters and everything was outstanding. The service, the food, the cocktails! Staff were great, will definitely be coming back!

Unfortunately the food was terrible. The paella was tasteless and the salt and pepper squid wasn’t great either. The batter just fell off so the plate was just left with the batter.

Unfortunately the service was terrible and very poorly managed. The average food was well overpriced with long wait times. We were mostly surprised by the amount of food waste due to getting orders wrong and receiving the same meals twice. Lots of hype, but overall very disappointing.

Was excited to bring the family to give it a try but unfortunately it was a bit of a disaster. Wait staff seemed very confused and did not know anything about the food on the menu. A number of times they brought the incorrect food to our table and we had to correct their mistakes. Had to ask staff numerous times for water refills. Staff are just not very attentive. Wait time for the food was unreasonably long. Food was quite average and not worth the money. Venue itself is quite nice but parking in the area is a nightmare. They have signs outside regarding valet parking however no indication of any staff carrying out the duties. Would not recommend.
