Very pleasant Sunday Lunch with family. Good roast plus a vegetarian option. Menu not extensive but I quite liked that as shows food more likely to be prepared from fresh! Will be going back.

We made a last minute booking after a long day at Legoland. The food was lovely with a varied choice and a separate children's menu. The service was spot on, not obtrusive or lacking. A very pleasant experience. We'll return if we're in the area.

Food and service was good but there was a wedding taking place and at one point the doors were left open and we were treated to irritating Scottish reel music and the clatter of cutlery . They then started clearing all the other tables of crockery etc while we were still eating . Not very nice for a cosy chat

Such a disappointment. Booked for Sunday lunch, family of four, special occasion. The hotel had a large function and didn't have enough staff to cover the dining room, as a result service as very slow. When the food did arrive it was cold and the waitress knocked a glass of red wine all over my son. Will not return.

The Fork does not fit well with the rest of the hotel and the hotel would benefit from a more up market restaurant, with The Fork being a bistro for more informal dining and snacks. The menu was uninspired and the staff, whilst sweet, were not always 'on the ball'. There was only one wine menu for the entire restaurant, which got passed around, resulting in a waiting time for the wine to arrive, which was not always before the main meal for some. The waiters didn't seem to have been working at The Fork for very long and gave the impression that they were still learning and waiting for instruction from the manager. Having said this, the manager was most helpful and apologetic for any waiting times. He just needs to be given a more efficient team to work with!

What a lovely surprise food very good value and setting is beautiful. I would agree with the comment on the wine glasses..... go buy some nice red wine glasses :)

This was our 2011 wedding venue and we decided to revisit some old memories as the food that day was excellent with great service and a pleasant atmosphere. We arrived on Saturday to a restaurant full of families with small children. The food and service was still excellent, apart from one wrong dish that was rectified quickly, and we were treated to a complimentary glass of prosecco to celebrate our return. My wife had the pork belly and I had the chicken with chorizo salad, both full of flavour and cooked perfectly. During the meal we noticed that the background music was apparently the soundtrack to a kids cartoon show and I noticed a Legoland poster in the foyer. It turns out there's a package deal for families visiting nearby Legoland at Windsor with accommodation at the Royal Berkshire included. In short the Fork menu itself is great, but the venue is targeting the family market heavily so don't expect a quiet couples night out, although if you like desserts the Fairground Platter with candy floss, mini ice cream cones will deliver a massive sugar rush so it's no surprise there were excitable children around.

Disappointed with the set menu in terms of quality and quantity. Expensive meal that was probably worth no more than 50% of what we paid.

Great venue as always . Food was really nice , staff are really polite. Always a nice tan Atmosphere at this restaurant. I cannot fault the service .
