Fantastic service only outdone by the fantastic food
Highly recommended for special occasions
For a special evening. Everything I had was excellent. We shared the $96 Porterhouse steak three ways. Quite enough for 3 people. The waitress knew the menu well and provided good guidance. The Southern Italian robust red wine we had was perfect for the steak and was good value too. Bill for 4 was almost $400 plus tip.
It was a lovely dinning experience. The menu is well crafted , the servers very knowledgeable of the dishes and the service very cordial. I would definitely come back .
Love the ambiance and decor (sleek edgy minimalist but still warm). Food very good. My favorites include the pizzas, octopus, calamari, oxtail ragu pasta and Pistachio Bigne. Tiramisu is good but too sweet for me. Service is EXCELLENT! Especially Julia and Laura and all the staff are so friendly and attentive. I will go back again and again!
We celebrated a special birthday dinner there on Monday night. The second we walked through the front door I knew it was going to be a good night. The complete staff made us feel totally comfortable and appreciated. Our waitress was simply incredible, smiling all the time and going out of her way to make sure our evening was going to be SPECIAL!! The bartender made me one of the best Manhattan's in the city. Last but not least was the food, every dish mouth watering and incredibly DELICIOUS. We are already planning our next visit!!!!
Don't believe the hype!! Believe patron reviews.
We went for my husband's birthday. Very aggressive wait staff. Insisted that we order all of our dishes at once (despite my objection) and they wouldn't take no for an answer. They claimed they would pace the meal for us from start to finish and they did not. All 4 appetizers landed on the table 5 mins after we ordered them. Had to ask the kitchen to slow to remaining food down which they didn't like.
Nothing was better than 'just ok'. Nothing you couldn't get for less at your favourite local Italian restaurant. Only thing worth mentioning is the Swiss chard salad.
This place doesn't deserve the 5th best restaurant in Canada designation!! Will not go back 👎🏻👎🏻
The menu can be a bit intimidating for a someone who doesn’t dine out like me, but our server was amazing. He answered our questions made lovely recommendations and we didn’t feel like it was one of those trendy pretentious restaurants. We ordered the fritti calamari, the lamb sausage, the Gamberi pasta, and the salumi pizza. It was well worth every bite. Especially the pasta! It had a nice hint of spice to it, and the tangy tomato base went well with the shrimp. They also make a mean Negroni, I hadn’t had a Negroni that good in awhile! I would definitely come back here for dinner and drinks!
Friendly attentive service, great food, great ambiance, fabulous all around!
Overall great experience. I would say ambiance and service surpassed the food. Our meal was good but some dishes left me slightly unsatisfied- specifically the beef tartare and octopus. Our server was phenomenal and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Great for any occasion!
New favourite restaurant. From the ambiance to the caring service. Everything was fantastic!
It was totally freezing at our table and this made it uncomfortable. The restaurant couldn’t address the issue.
Amazing food! Great experience sitting at the kitchen.
Food was delicious but the service was poor. We made reservations 1 month in advance for 9 pm at the chef’s bar and weren’t seated until 9:30 at the regular bar. There was no acknowledgement of the mixup. The wait staff did not approach us to take our food orders; finally after waiting 10-15 minutes we asked the bar staff to help us place our order. It was a shame since we were greatly looking forward to this meal!
It was delish
Service was amazing , very knowledgeable servers
The whole atmosphere was a great experience
Definitely returning to enjoy the rest of the menu
Good to try but not as good as ppl said. Ppl are raving about this place. To me, it was merely ok. Our waiter seemed pretty snobby and wasnt overly friendly. Never smiled. The pasta tasted like fancy kraft dinner. Delicious but nothing crazy special.
Great food, great service, friendly staff... we will return!
Our server was amazing. The sommelier was also very helpful & helped us choose great wines! Most of the food was amazing except two dishes which were only so so! Ambience was great too. Wonderful experience, thank you!
Probably the best restaurant in Toronto!
We heard so many good things about giulietta that we were dying to try it. We made a reservation a month in advance to be able to try this new place. And we have to say, it exceeded our high expectations. Sitting at the counter watching the chefs do their thing was so entertaining. Danielle our waitress was so pleasant, fun and added an extra element to our evening. The chefs all thanked us for joining them also and the overall experience was 12/10. I didn’t even mention the food which was delicious. I can’t wait to come back to try the other dishes we missed. This restaurant is phenomenal and I will be recommending it to everyone!
Not a good experience ... will not go back .. Waited for 25 minutes standing while they sat other people and we had reservations ..lots of attitude .. how it is top 10 in Canada no idea .. decor was great maybe that's it.. food was below average .. Caico e Pepe was swimming in sauce!! Ugh .. flavour was more of processed cheese and soup versus traditional cheese and pepper .. this Roman dish was not done well to say the least!
What initially started off as a great night turned sour due to the terrible service. The server was slow, anxious and impatient. For what would have been a simple error on their end in splitting our bill turned into a nightmare with their manager Toni, being rude and unwelcoming. They simply do not care about the customer experience. There are far better Italian restaurants in Toronto. Will never come back
It is the place to be seen at the moment.
Difficult to talk as it is noisy.
Front section is separated from the back section by the bar/ eating counter. It f eels as if u are not part of larger section of the restaurant.
If at the front it is cold when door opens.
I think you can get a great bowl of pasta in a lot of good places ie Ardo, speducci Mercato,... without all the current vibe. It really depends what u want from a restaurant.
Start to finish great.
Very good food but did not meet my expectation as described in many magazine. I feel a little over priced. Good ambiance but I personally do not go to restarurant just for the ambiance but for the good food that surprises me.
We had an incredible meal curated by a knowledgeable and friendly serving staff. The counter seats were comfortable and it was fascinating to watch the chefs in action. Will absolutely be back.
Service was fantastic, and kind. Food is good, but not as impressive as the accolades would lead you to believe.
I went here with a friend on a Tuesday night. The food was good, but the atmosphere uncomfortable. We had the smoked ricotta and guanciale ravioli which was excellent, the pork chop which was a bit on the dry side and a bit overly seasoned with fennel but an interesting combo, as well as the asparagus which was nicely cooked but a bit dry and could've used a sauce or something buttery. The service was okay, a bit awkward and anxious at times but not neglectful. And the ambiance was very uneasy. Truly the only complaint is how loud and uncomfortable the restaurant is. The music was loud enough that we had to raise our voices and it was very hyper pop. And the interior feels a bit cold and disorganized. I'm not sure I would go here again, but am not totally against it.
Food was great — all very tasty and interesting combinations. Server was knowledgeable and helpful as we worked through the menu.
Only negative: pacing. First courses came out very quickly followed by long waits before both second and third courses. Dessert came out within seconds. Would recommend the kitchen work on more even pacing between courses.
Overall very good experience with some room for improvement
Giulietta is my favorite Italian restaurant in the city. It is authentic food that is served in a lovely atmosphere. Their sommelier, Kim, is wonderful and so knowledgeable! All of the staff is great and if you sit at the counter you get to watch the show! It makes you even hungrier. Highly recommend!!!!
Lived up to expectations. Creative service, creative menu... beautiful but unpretentious atmosphere.
Amazing experience. Opted for the "counter service/chef's bar" for an entertaining view. The prosciutto melted in your mouth. Spectacular!!
The food was delicious and the service was excellent! We will definitely be back!
Good food, nice atmosphere a bit expensive for a plate of pasta but overall would give it another try
Amazing food and excellent service. Had to wait a little for our table to be ready but it was well worth it!
We had an incredible time at Giulietta.
Food was phenomenal. We had the polpo, tagliatelle, and campagniola pizza...plus dessert.
It is one of the best Contemporary Italian restaurants in North America. We are from New York but there are not many or any that compare to their quality and fresh ingredients
Their service is excellent. It was our first dinner attempt after our daughter had a baby and they were super attentive and kind and able to accommodate a baby carriage in a quieter corner with us.
It made her feel so good to be there after a very successful and delicious evening and she felt good coming back to the outside world after the childbirth .
We waited half an hour to be seated, then almost another half hour to get our appetizer (fried cheese which was not what we were expecting from such a hyped up restaurant). In total we had our first course an hour after arriving. The pasta was good but nothing special, service was poor. Overall very disappointed.
Counter seating by the kitchen was excellent. Interesting and informative.
